Raili-Ann, a young mother caught in the relentless grip of an abusive relationship with the father of her child. As if the daily abuse isn't enough, she is plagued by severe jaw pain, for which she desperately awaits surgery.

Prescribed painkillers offer a fleeting glimpse of relief, but her partner's selfish consumption of the medication leaves her in constant agony. In a moment of sheer desperation, she turns to a close friend who offers her a mysterious painkiller. This seemingly small act of relief marks the beginning of her introduction to substances.

For a while, Raili-Ann manages to keep her life relatively under control, balancing the demands of motherhood and the divorce process. However, the unexpected death of her beloved sister shatters her fragile stability, propelling her into a downward spiral of substance use and dealing.
