Brass is a picture of God’s judgment, and the path to God begins by addressing sin through judgment, forgiveness, and cleansing. The brazen altar is a preview of the cross where our sin is judged and atoned for, and the brazen laver is the place of cleansing that follows forgiveness. Recognition and repentance of sin are essential before we can fully receive Christ’s sufficiency.
