  • Ep. 17 | Sally Taylor - Your Body is Speaking To You
    Apr 28 2026

In this episode, we dive into the connection between emotions, healing, self-expression, and the stories our bodies may be trying to tell us.

Artist Sally Taylor shares the powerful practices she was taught growing up — asking herself: What is this feeling? What color is it? What is it doing here? Through meditation, reflection, and her battle with cancer, she began to see healing in a completely different way.

She opens up about how years of shrinking herself, staying silent, and not speaking her truth affected her emotionally and physically — and how learning to listen to herself changed everything.

This conversation is a reminder to slow down, tune in, and ask yourself what your feelings may be trying to say.

  • Lessons in Leadership, Resilience, and Purpose | Dr. Bean
    Apr 10 2026

In this powerful episode of CoffeeWithPattiPod, we sit down with Dr. Stefan Bean, a leader whose life story is nothing short of extraordinary.

Appointed in June 2024 as Orange County’s 12th Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Bean has spent nearly three decades serving students, families, and communities across Southern California—as a teacher, principal, and educational leader. But his journey didn’t begin in a classroom—it began in the midst of war.

Born in Saigon during the early 1970s, Dr. Bean faced unimaginable challenges early in life. Stricken with polio and later brought to the United States during Operation Babylift, he entered the foster care system before being adopted by a family who believed in his potential.

In this conversation, Dr. Bean opens up about:

    • Overcoming adversity and trauma

    • His passion for supporting English learners and underserved students

    • The impact of his personal journey on his leadership

    • Love, loss, and the legacy of his late wife

    • What it truly means to lead with purpose and compassion

His story is a reminder that where you start does not define where you can go.

If you’re looking for inspiration, resilience, and a deeper look into the heart behind educational leadership—this episode is for you.

    Here I am demonstrating my family’s Haft-Seen (هفت‌سین)

A Haft-Seen (هفت‌سین) traditional table setting for Nowruz (Persian New Year).

The Haft-Seen table represents new beginnings, hope, and balance for the new year. Families gather around it at the exact moment of spring.

The 7 S’s include to following symbolic items:

Sabzeh (سبزه) – wheat barley or lentil sprouts → rebirth

Samanu (سمنو) – sweet pudding → affluence

Sír (سیر) – garlic → medicine

Seeb (سیب) – apple → beauty & health

Somāq (سماق) – sumac → sunrise

Serkeh (سرکه) – vinegar → aging & patience

We also included other common items :

    A Mirror (cleanness and honesty)
