  • Investigating Munchausen by Proxy - Mike Weber
    Nov 13 2025

Mike Weber is a recently retired detective and current educator of Munchausen By Proxy. Maybe you have heard of the Gypsy Rose case? If not, Munchausen By Proxy is a mental illness and a form of child abuse. The caretaker of a child, knowingly, most often a mother, either makes up fake symptoms or causes real symptoms to make it look like the child is sick. Some of these cases result in deaths. What drives people to do this? How common is it? And how hard is it to investigate, prosecute and convict?
