    Aug 20 2025

Boutique Practice Secrets: Why Your Calling Isn’t the Same as Your Assignment

    Show Notes:

Hey friend — if you’ve ever felt torn between your mantle as a healer and the rest of your life, this episode is for you.

In this first episode back after my year-long “sabbatical,” I’m unpacking one of the biggest lessons God has been teaching me: the difference between your calling and your assignment — and how mixing them up can lead to burnout, frustration, and even wanting to walk away from your practice.

Whether you’re starting a boutique practice or your current practice needs a serious glow up, understanding this truth will help you create a part-time, cash, low-maintenance, profitable model that delivers life-changing transformation for your patients and gives you the margin you’ve been craving.

    We’ll talk about:

    • The key difference between your calling and your assignment (and why this matters for Christian women in healthcare)

    • How forcing the wrong assignment can lead to burnout — even when you’re walking in your calling

    • Real-life examples from my own journey of starting, growing, burning out, and rebuilding a boutique practice with heavenly strategy

    • Why your assignment will shift from season to season — and how to build a practice that flexes with it

    • The foundation you need so your practice can run, rest, or pivot without starting over

💡 Next Steps: If you’re ready to start or realign your boutique practice so it’s profitable, transformational, and aligned with your God-given assignment, join me in the Boutique Practice Bootcamp. It’s just $17, and in 5 days you’ll walk away with clarity, a plan, and a business model you can actually sustain.

  • 016 \\ Is Anxiety Leading You to a Season of Rest in Your Boutique Practice?
    Oct 15 2024

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the demands of your healthcare practice, wondering if you’re doing enough or if you’re truly managing it all?

As healthcare providers, we often carry an immense weight on our shoulders—our patients depend on us, our practices need our attention, and our families count on us.

In the midst of this whirlwind, there’s a silent struggle that many of us face but seldom discuss: anxiety.

For a long time, I thought of myself as a high achiever, thriving on busyness and productivity.

If I was moving, I believed I was making progress.

But underneath that façade, I was avoiding the anxiety and fear that simmered just below the surface.

I realized that anxiety often manifests in ways we don’t expect.

It may not always look like panic; sometimes, it reveals itself through overcommitting, people-pleasing, or simply trying to maintain control in the chaos.

I’ve come to recognize that this persistent drive can push us toward a breaking point, making it essential to take a step back.

That’s where the idea of rest comes in.

Recently, I’ve felt a profound urge to pause and reflect—a nudge from God, reminding me that rest is not a luxury; it’s a necessity.

As I prepare for a sabbatical to recharge, I invite you to consider whether you, too, might be called to take a break.

Are you constantly pouring out without refilling your own cup?

Have you been pushing through the noise, neglecting your own needs?

Let’s explore together how recognizing the signs of anxiety can lead us to the restorative rest we all need to navigate the demands of our practices and lives.

  • 015 \\ Breaking the Burnout Cycle: Finding Balance as a Chiropractor Mom with a Boutique Practice
    Sep 26 2024

Deciding to keep going when you’re running on empty can feel impossible, especially as a mom juggling countless roles.

We’ve all been there—trying to hold everything together and pushing ourselves past the point of exhaustion.

But here’s the truth: burnout is real, and it’s not just about feeling tired.

It’s about that deeper, emotional fatigue that leaves us feeling stuck, disconnected, and overwhelmed.

In this episode, I’m getting real about my own journey with burnout.

I hit a breaking point when I realized I couldn’t keep doing it all in my own strength.

I was burnt out, emotionally drained, and far from the mom and professional I wanted to be.

That’s when I knew something had to change.

I’m sharing how I found peace by aligning my life with God’s plan instead of trying to control everything myself.

It was a humbling moment, especially when I learned I was pregnant with my third child.

Talk about a reminder that God’s timing is always better than mine!

I’ll also dive into the power of community and why leaning on others is so important when burnout creeps in.

Whether it’s through faith-based support or trusted friends, we’re not meant to go through this alone.

Finally, I’ll give you some practical tips to recognize burnout, embrace your feelings without guilt, and start prioritizing rest and support.

If you’re feeling burnt out or on the edge, I hope my story helps you take that first step toward healing.

Let’s stop pretending we can do it all and start giving ourselves permission to rest, reset, and lean on the community God’s placed around us.

You’re not alone in this, and together, we can overcome burnout.

    Sep 10 2024

Are you feeling disconnected, even though you’re constantly surrounded by people?

As healthcare providers, we spend our days helping others, yet we often struggle with a silent battle that many don’t talk about—loneliness.

In this episode, I dive into the surprising claim by the Surgeon General that loneliness is now the biggest threat to public health.

We’ll explore how this growing sense of isolation affects not just older generations, but younger ones too—and how it might be impacting you, even if you haven't realized it yet.

I’ll share my own journey through seasons of deep connection and overwhelming loneliness, especially in business, and how I've found ways to create meaningful relationships both personally and professionally.

If you've ever felt like something's missing despite having a full calendar or lots of acquaintances, you're not alone. This episode is for you.

  • 013 \\ Should You Bring Your Kids to Work with You in a Boutique Practice as a Chiropractor or Physical Therapist?
    Aug 20 2024

Deciding whether to bring your kids to work, especially in a practice setting, is one of those decisions that can weigh heavily on your mind as a parent and professional.

When I first started my journey, I looked up to other practitioners who seemed to have it all together—managing their busy practices with their children in tow, all while radiating grace and composure.

It looked like the perfect setup, and I thought, “That’s what I want.”

But as I’ve gone through different seasons of motherhood and practice, I’ve learned that what works for one family might not work for another.

Each child is unique, and every stage of life brings new challenges and considerations.

Over the years, I’ve had my kids with me in the practice during some seasons and opted to keep them separate in others.

This decision isn’t always easy, and it’s something I revisit regularly, especially now as I prepare for the arrival of my third baby.

In this episode, I’m sharing the questions I’m asking myself to help guide this choice.

Whether you’re facing this decision now or might be in the future, I hope my experience and these reflections offer some clarity.
