I as a GEN X cisfem am experiencing more and more women in my peer group who are also wondering about their neurotype due to the diagnosis of a child or grandchild.

  Because this subject had been ruled as a biological male only condition up into the past ten years; women were excluded from this scientific body of research.

  It was only in brave individuals putting their experiences forward in social media did I come to understand that we have always existed throughout time and yet it took me seeing a woman of my age and similar educational and life experience background for me to realize I was not alone.

I am coming forward for others to see me as a "representation" of neurodiversity, just one in millions of humans, because when we see ourselves in another it can be really comforting.  My goal is to provide a sense of comfort.
