    UNLV's Nevada Conservatory Theatre Executive Director Norma Saldivar chats with director Darren Weller and the design team about "The Human Comedy," NCT's world premiere production of William Saroyan's story.

    When most live theatre in the world has been indefinitely shuttered, ‘Admit One’ explores the process of producing a world premiere play in the midst of a global pandemic.

    Each episode explores the collaborative, creative process from concept to realization as NCT’s team of faculty, students and theatre professionals fight to keep their respective crafts alive, relevant and available.

    Scripted for the stage by playwright Thomas Babbes, “The Human Comedy” follows teen Homer McCauley, a telegram messenger in World War II era central California as he comes of age with his country, defining his understanding of Home.

    This week, we meet the director of NCT’s world premiere production of William Saroyan’s ‘The Human Comedy,’ Darren Weller. Then, we hear from the team of designers who are working with Weller to bring the world of Saroyan’s fictional Ithaca, California to life onstage at the Judy Bailey Theater.
