The time has come to welcome a new life into the world as Phoebe goes into labour, but it doesn’t go as smoothly as Phoebe and Gary would like thanks to the midwife passing out due to too much alcohol. Make way for Margie though who steps in to save the day! Meanwhile back in the 90s it’s all doom and gloom for Ron and Yvonne. Ron devastatingly loses his pride and joy, while Yvonne makes a catastrophic decision that could cost Gary and Yvonne massively.

With the arrival of Baby Sparrow just around the corner, Phoebe and Gary are far from prepared. With the nursery needing to be decorated and furniture still to be bought, Gary isn't worried as he knows he can sort it by using money to pay for a decorator and then to fund a trip to Harrods. One major stumbling block though... Gary has run out of wartime money. A trip back to the 90s to request some more from Ron doesn't go to plan, as Ron tells Gary that he will only print some more if Gary manages to convince Yvonne's friend to go on a date with Ron. A tricky dilemma as Yvonne's friend is more interested in exposing Gary as a time traveller, rather than to go on a date with Ron.

The Wedding Day has arrived for Gary and Phoebe, however it is anything but plain sailing for the celebrating couple! First and foremost Gary will actually need to wake up in the 1990s to ensure he can get to the church in time. After a heavy night of celebrating two stag parties, Gary isn't helped by the fact that Yvonne has turned off his alarm clock. When Gary does finally make it back to the 1940s, he is met with an emotionally charged Phoebe, who seems to be experiencing cold feet herself. Will the wedding actually go ahead?

It’s Stag Do time!! However, how many men have two stag parties… fifty years apart??!! Well Gary does, and as expected plenty of alcohol is consumed by Gary, Reg and Ron. What Gary doesn’t plan for though, is being kidnapped by Canadian troops at the end of the night, leaving him wondering if he’ll even make it to the church in time the following day.

Gary seems to be upsetting all that are close to him in both time eras. In the 1940s, Phoebe is struggling with all of the wedding planning, especially with Gary not pulling his weight, while Reg is struggling with all of the gossiping going around about his living arrangements with Margie. In the 1990s, Yvonne is trying out different types of therapies to help her come to terms with her miscarriage, and Ron moves into a rather fancy apartment.

A trip to the cinema gets Phoebe thinking about how they can give their future child the best possible start in life. Yvonne’s hopes of being a mother suffer a devastating blow as she returns home from Korea, as it now seems that Gary will have to make Yvonne his priority for the time being. Ron’s stay at Sparrow House is coming to an end as Yvonne heads back to the UK, but Ron is certainly upbeat after getting some female attention from a rather surprising source. Margie finally makes the brave decision to leave her abusive husband. Could Reg be the ideal man to help her through this tough time?

Gary and Phoebe are heading north to Liverpool to visit Phoebe’s Gran, to break the news to her about their engagement and also that they are expecting a baby together. In the 90s Ron is intrigued about Gary’s Liverpool trip, and tells Gary that it was around this time back in 1942, that his Grandad became a hero for saving a child from a fire.
