Yvonne is off to work in Korea for a few weeks, which gives Gary the perfect chance to take Phoebe away for a little holiday. Gary’s plans are scuppered though as Yvonne plans to phone Gary every night, and then with his Dad visiting out of the blue, Gary calls on Ron to help him with his dilemma. Will Gary make it to Kent for his countryside break in the 1940s?

Phoebe and Yvonne are both struggling with the side effects of being pregnant. Whether it’s morning sickness or mood swings, Gary is still trying to get to grips with how the two ladies of his life are coping. Yvonne reminds Gary that they are looking after their nephew for a few days. A simple task to get them used to parenting. However, looking after a six year old becomes more of a hassle than was first thought as Gary loses him, with the possibility that the little lad may have found his way back to the 1940s.

I was lucky enough to talk with Dave from Idiot Box Books, which is the company that is hoping to raise enough funds to get a new Goodnight Sweetheart book published.

Dave and I talk about our shared love for Goodnight Sweetheart, and why they have chosen to revive the classic sitcom in book form.

When the option of a seventh series of Goodnight Sweetheart was turned down by the BBC, there were so many questions about what Gary Sparrow was up to after the 2016 special episode.

Well now we may get the answers as Idiot Box Books have teamed up with Goodnight Sweetheart writers, Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, in the hope that enough funds can be raised so that we can potentially get series seven, in the form of a book.
