Publisher's Summary

Discover the three types of love - and the key to finding the one you're truly meant to be with.

We love and we love again - sometimes our hearts get broken but, somehow, we find the courage to dive back in. In this soul-searching audiobook, relationship expert Kate Rose guides listeners down the path to a deeper understanding of who they are, what they want, and finally, to the discovery of their Twin Flame.

According to Rose, love is a journey of self-discovery, and every relationship we have in our lives teaches us something that we need to learn about ourselves and what will make us truly happy. She introduces listeners to the three types of love we will all experience:

  • The Soulmate introduces us to the dream of love, but somehow what seemed like it would be "happily ever after" wasn't meant to last forever.
  • We are so consumed with making The Karmic Love work that we often fail to question whether it should work. As painful as it is to accept, this love that felt so right in the beginning is actually all wrong.
  • The Twin Flame comes into our lives and often we don't even know it's love because...it's too easy. This is the love who helps us to accept ourselves just as we are because this is precisely what they do.

In You Only Fall in Love Three Times, Kate Rose shows us that happy endings may not happen quite the way they do in fairy tales - but they happen nonetheless.

Suitable for males (with tweeks to imagination🤪)

This book has really helped with coming to terms with a really difficult break up. The only struggle I had was feeling like it was talking from a female perspective (which isn't a bad thing, I just meant I had to flip the script to make it as if it was me you were talking about). It's nothing to lose a star over.😆🌟
Overall great book!

*Not for the heartbroken man

The book may have merit. If you are a male who has recently split up from someone you love, the fact that the narrative is read for women may trigger your sadness as the book talks about how amazing women are (which is true).

For me, I couldn't help feeling sad and was left wondering if I had made a big mistake instead of feeling empowered to keep searching for my love.

Perhaps I could benefit from the teachings of this book in due course, but for now, I need a voice that speaks to me, or at the minimum is not heteronormative in its approach to love.

Wow! That all made so much sense 😅

This came at the perfect time in my life... maybe not for those heading into their first relationships but for those ready to give up on finding their Twin Flame. For me, I could never explain to myself or the GFs that have tried to talk me out of an ‘on again - off again’ relationship why I always forgave and supported this connection through the ups and downs - it’s just too undeniably a pull back to him and a love so strong to be given up on😌 it all makes sense now! Thank you Kate! Your positivity and advice was just what I needed (maybe not so much movie references next edit! Lol) M

Unresearched and faulty

This heteronormative, belittling and anachronistic perspective lacks research and uses fairytale to predict what is not true for everyone. The authors voice talks down to the reader, and the narrative does not take into account the countless other loves we may meet throughout our lives. I thought it very one sided and fake.

I want my money back

She made me think that I should still be open to receive the third love, that was good . The beginning of the book dwelt on former love like nobody knew anything for themselves. It went on too much about the former . I couldn’t listen to the book because of this one aspect .I thought she knew something that I didn’t know ,turns out she didn’t .

4 🌟

A fellow bookstagrammer had posted about this book and it completely intrigued me by the title alone! Reason being, in my twenties I read once that there isn't just one person for you out there, there's three people in fact. I believed it ever since and I found that I, in fact, experienced each of these loves. This book details each of these loves and shows you that you need to go through the first two loves to finally find your one true last love.

She breaks it into parts detailing what each love is and what it means and why. You have your soulmate, your karmic love, and lastly, your twin flame. She tells you things you may not want to hear but is necessary for you to grow past a love that does not suit you.

A glimpse into this book in my own words: We don't always learn the necessary lessons that our relationships are trying to teach us and so we may experience the same type of love multiple times, usually the karmic love. Our karmic love, she explains, is supposed to break us to make room for our last love. It's the one that teaches us, should we allow ourselves to see it, what true real love is all about. It's the one out of the three types that is the most tumultuous. And so our karmic love is not supposed to last, it's supposed to help make us accountable for our actions, and face our feelings.

In the end, I feel I am a bit biased because it's a belief I've always had and actually experienced. Mine came in a different order. I experienced my karmic love first and he tore me apart. I went back a couple times because I wasn't strong enough to stand up for myself. He was manipulative and headstrong and unfaithful. I finally learned and at some point moved on to my soulmate. We fit so well together, our families, friends. I know I loved him but in the end, I knew there was something holding me back. I knew, without really knowing, that he wasn't the one for me. It saddens you because you wonder if you'll ever really find the your last piece of your puzzle. Then one day, there he is. If the events in each of our lives hadn't happened the way they did, we may not have met... but we did and I can finally say, I've met my twin flame! He's made me feel things I didn't know I could feel, we love unconditionally, we are our true selves unapologetically.

In the end, that's all we are ever looking for in a true love. To be unapologetically ourselves and still be loved unconditionally! Thank you to Kate Rose for writing this and confirming everything I've always believed about finding that right one. I recommend this if you feel you haven't found your true love and don't think you will or find yourself at a crossroads in your relationship. I do think this will help.

A little too mystical for me

I don’t fully agree with some of the ideas presented here. I think they might be better understood by attachment styles. The ideas here also seem a little more mystical than like any sort of psychological principles. But I don’t discredit the way the author has framed the narrative because I think it will ring true to many people.

Eye Opening

I thought I had a good grasp on my feelings and emotions. I thought I new myself and how I loved, my past lives and my possibilities of a future love. This book had me questioning things of my past relationships and giving me understanding on why some didn’t last and why some took longer to dissolve. This was a great guide book to understanding my twin flame and helping me to plant my feet back on the ground because my emotions had me running wild with questions. Why is this one so different, why does this feel so exciting and scary, but yet feel like home and established love already? I enjoyed this book so much I am now listening to it again. Have an open mind about yourself and an open heart and listen with no reservations and you may just find new things about yourself you never knew.

Holy guacamole, so true it hurts

I feel personally victimized hearing about these three types of loves. This is the clearest I've ever heard anyone explain these. And it's great being able to put a name to the experiences. I honestly could not have stumbled upon this book at a better time in my life. Thank you!

Love this book!!!!

Holy! This is the book I’ve been looking for on love for my whole life. This book explains how my being feels. I recognized myself in the stories and made my relationships in life make so much sense. I love the explanation of the phases of a twin flame love. No one could understand our love connection because it was so not normal to them and I feel like I’m not alone in the journey after listening to this. My heart is at peace waiting for the next phase of union for our twin flame love

Eye opener to self love

Whether you believe in karma, reincarnation, or anything, this book is about you learning to accept who you are and the journey you've lived so far regarding life itself engolfed in the search for love. It is a wake up call to understand how you have loved yourself first leading you to understand how you have loved others and accepted love in return, and then learn what to do about it. It isa great tool to analyse yourself and our need to love and be loved. Clear, well thought out, encouraging!

No!

I spent 6 hours listening to this drivle, imagining I was a 40-50 year old woman, who believes in fairy-tales and likes everything with an extra sprinkle of sugar. I should have guessed by the pink cover and the title but come on! don't men want to find love too? Can they not be interested in the different kind of soul contacts? If you like Rom-Coms or have an alter ego as Marjorie the divorced and forlorn housewife from Essex you will love this! Otherwise save your money!
