Dr Amen’s book is ok. Some rampant self promotion but it sounds like he is genuine in his attempts to improve lives of others. There is a little bit of old fashioned self righteousness in the text and delivery but i think it comes from a good place.

Helpful information & strategies for optimising brain function specific to individual needs. I would like to read the book as I think some aspects were lost via the audio version. Overall, loved the book though!

I loved this book. I intended to listen to learn more about physical brain health, but love that he sees brain health, mind set and social relationships as all interconnected. It’s such a great approach to mental health. I’m totally convinced. Also learnt a lot about caring for our brain throughout life as foundational to everything including health at all ages. Loved that it also had a social and spiritual dimension on living with happiness and purpose.
