Publisher's Summary

International best-selling phenomenon Mel Robbins has inspired millions to change their lives - and now she'll help you get ahead, get paid, and change your work life.

Women get mixed messages about how to succeed at work, and research shows that much of the career advice aimed at men doesn't even work for women. We’re left wondering: How do you say no without being labeled difficult? How do you get paid what you’re worth? What can you do when you start to doubt yourself? Should you go for that next big promotion, even though it’ll impact your family? What do you do when you’re feeling invisible and unappreciated?

Known for being 2018’s most-booked female speaker in the world and now a nationally-syndicated talk show host, Mel Robbins answers these questions and more with research-based strategies that you can put into action immediately. In this mix of one-on-one career coaching sessions and personal narrative, you’ll laugh, learn, and be inspired to get ahead at work - all while getting more enjoyment out of your life. No matter where you are professionally, Work It Out will give you the tools you need to create the career of your dreams.

Compelling, useful, and entertaining

This book may be called "Work It Out," but it goes far deeper than just our careers and work. So far, in listening to Mel's deep coaching and takeaways, I have learned that the challenges we face in our work are the same ones we have had throughout our lives. And while listening to each session I can see myself in every single one, and even better -- I get a clear understanding of how it can be changed immediately. This book, like all of Mel's work, stands out from the many "tips" and "hacks" we receive about how to be more productive and successful and instead focuses on how we can spot our subtle missteps and have the life and careers we have always wanted. 5 stars all around.

SO much useful coaching

I'll be honest. I'm only three sessions in but ALREADY I am blown away by how much I am learning. And just like Mel's last two Audible audiobooks, I somehow seem to relate with every session. I just wish I'd had this book twenty years ago because I would have done things so much differently in my jobs, and definitely while looking for jobs. I have to digest all this stuff but I can't wait to try out the nuggets I've got so far. Thanks, Mel!

Cannot stop listening!!

WOW. This came out yesterday and I’m already almost all the way through. Mel dives deep into the past/stories of each guest and gets to the REAL root of the issue that they are facing. I just love her approach - straight to the point and no BS - but so caring at the same time. I feel so empowered already. Incredible.

Advice that actually makes sense.

The advice in Work It Out actually feels doable and practical. I can't wait to put these tips into action.

Mel will change the world

As an already accomplished business owner, the first minutes into the book I thought “this book probably isn’t for me.” Then I got to chapter 2 and holy crap- Mel spoke to me yet again. I knew I loved her for a reason. She’s changing the world for the better one small action at a time. You gotta listen to this one!

So many takeaways and wow moments!

I am about half way through listening to Mel and so far , so much of Work It Out resonates with me I just want to keep going! Even though the women's work situations are different than mine , each of them has so many takeaways ! You learn that so much of what happens at work happens to us at home, and much is related to situations in our pasts that all of us can identify with. Aha! Entering my next " post children " work phase, I will be using the many tools and strategies from the book in my next chapter. Everything Mel and her team produce are above the bar and the free 51 page journal PDF journal with action items that comes with the book is a huge bonus! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Five stars!

A Significant and Relatable Compass

Mel Robbins and her team put out QUALITY TOOLS. Much thought and research appears to go into anything Mel shares, in order TO GET US BEYOND ( just) THINKING, and INTO TAKING ACTION! Same trusted, sound, direction, that focuses on the "work" aspect of life, but is applicable to anyone, in understanding how to get past life's limiting road-blocks.
A worthy "read" in Mel's & participants own voices!

Great stuff!!!

What a great listen. I know I will listen over again and catch more nuggets of info. I’ve already recommended it to two work mates and they ordered right away. Some books change your life. I expect this is one of those.
