Clarissa Pinkola Estes
About this listen
Drawing from her work as a psychoanalyst and cantadora (keeper of old stories), Dr. Estes uses myths and folktales to illustrate how societies systematically strip away the feminine spirit. Through an exploration into the nature of the wild woman archetype, Dr. Estes helps listeners rediscover and free their own wild nature.

I really enjoyed this. The author touches on some important topics, but does so in a gentle way. She uses fairytales from different cultures as examples to illustrate her different topics.
I am 35 and I enjoyed this immensely. I wish I could have read this book in my teens or my twenties, as I feel it would have empowered me to embrace my inner wild woman more, to really be true to myself, rather than spend my life making myself small to fit into the box that my family and society expected.
An excellent Audible rendition. I highly recommend this.

I could listen to this woman for hours!
Women who run with wolves is a rich tapestry of myth and stories of our innate nature as women.
I find it’s like Clarissa has bought out into words the things that lay deeply in me, unexpressed (till now),by the languages of this world.
It’s insightful to those who know themselves, and those who are looking to further understand their inner selves.
I love this book.
It’s something I can, and do listen too again and again.
A must for all women to understand their archetypal nature
