Publisher's Summary

Manuscript discovered May 2021, in Aldershot, United Kingdom, by local rambler Bryan Potter, who found it buried beneath a pile of bricks in the middle of the woods. Bryan Potter died one week later due to an undiagnosed heart condition.

The summer holidays are here and school's out, but boredom quickly sets in for the penniless kids of the Redsow housing estate. In an effort to escape some local bullies, best friends Ashley and Jude decide to brave Devil's Ditch, a place deep in the woods that everyone says is haunted. At first, everything seems fine, but then they discover an old farmhouse covered in weeds. There's a naked woman chained up inside. Her name is Rose, and there's something not quite right about her.

If you love dread-filled stories full of scares, then Witch is the book you've been waiting for.

Difficult one to rate

Firstly, i want to say the narrator does a fantastic job at bringing the characters to life giving them accents that really fit the story.

The story itself, its difficult to rate because its really crude but it reflects the rougher demographic of English/Irish/Scottish teens as the setting seems to be. Most of the first part of book 1 is really mundane. I mean it has its highlights but whats interesting is that though i don't particularly like the characters, because of the narration, the story is oddly compelling and does become really interesting near the end.

It is worth a listen if you're ok with a lot of swearing, the story has merit. Its worth listening for the narration alone.

Pretty damn brilliant 👌🏽

I really enjoyed the characters & their language/banter during this audiobook. The narrator did a boss job with each different voice & personality.
The storyline was intriguing & I enjoyed following along. I appreciate the unique intro which lead into the action; from the first few minutes in, I felt like this was gonna be a decent listen, with characters not built up to make the audience automatically like or hate them & define them as good or bad.
Well done to all involved in the creation of this audiobook. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I’ll be looking out for this narrator again in my future listening ~he was pretty excellent. ✌🏽
