wow just wow
i don't even know where to start their are so many problems it seems to me like the author didn't know what they wanted to to write so they just started and never stopped even after the hundredth time the main character say he didn't know who to trust and that he was in this alone untill wait he's not alone anymore he has anther consciousness in planted in his mind no wait a second there is also a second one from the body his in and then the number of time he say he has to level up and instead of going and doing that he waste time doing anything but that you know for a guy so concerned with leveling up he sure don't seem interested in do it till anther character say he should so like the head line say wow just wow

Great book for people with short memory issue
If you have a short memory issue and remember only the last 10 minutes of your life, then this is a book for you. No, wait, 10 minutes is too long. You'll see that logic went to for a drink and gone missing, in those 10 minutes. Yes, 5 minutes should be ok. Spoiler: The idea for a story was good. Lack of logic was not so bad at the beginning. I've been asking myself "why?" a couple of times but then, "it's just the beginning. It will make more sense later"...not. The first fight was mostly ok. It is the first time we see, that our hero has a problem with his eyes. For some reason, he decides that he can't shoot anymore because the mob is too close. Guy next to him, does not have this issue. A whole army does not have this issue. It must be something with his eyes then. Poor guy. From there it goes downhill. "You've kept your memories. You are unique. Don't tell anyone or they'll kill you. Everyone kept their memories'"...wait, what?!?! The second fight was even better. "I'll sacrifice myself for the team" that I know for 1 day. "Thank you, my hero, take may badass gun, that I'm not using and don't worry I have more, fight with your level 1 while we 15lvl team with spare badass guns will run before the horde comes". Horde was in fact 2 mobs, which our hero could kill with his new spare badass gun...if not for his poor eyesight. He really should see a doctor. The mob was too close for the gun,..so he put away gun on a branch on the tree, climbed down from the tree, took his level 0 dagger and waited. He could make swiss cheese from the mob in the meantime. At some point, the author must have seen that it does not make sense, so the horde came after that... Another 2 mobs that sniffed him and went away for a stroll. Our genius did not want to respawn and lose 1% memories, because memories are the only important thing, so he decided ... to lose 2% of memories for nothing. I've stopped listening in chapter 22 and I still don't know what he received. Health, nope, still dying. freedom, no still stuck. Let's leave the fighting for now. Maybe the story and interactions with other characters will be better...not "Oh I have a voice in my head, oh another one, and another" after 5 min "I'll save you, I'll sacrifice myself for you... Oh, poor me, such responsibilities" Let's just say that after messiah complex, Gundam transformation after learning to walk, being physically exhausted standing and doing nothing to the point of losing consciousness, I could not stand it anymore. ...And that was what, 3-5th day in the game? and we still don't know anything. Jon Snow is omniscient in comparison to MC. If you're a masochist or you decided that logic is your nemesis than this is a book for you.

makes no sense
I will admit right off that I only got to chapter 10. The story doesn't make any sense. i'm not talking about strangeness with the system or characters. I'm talking about it makes no sense events have no cause and events that should have an effect have no effect. they read off the exact same character sheet twice a few chapters or paragraphs apart and talk about the amazing changes when there are none. I suppose it is possible that it is just bad translation, but it seems to me to make less sense than the literal translation.

Fun space litrpg adventure
A fun space litrpg. The MC is a kid finishing school who is conscripted into a space war via brain upload into a humanoid android being that develops using an RPG style system. Sword play, lasers, mechs, gigantic creatures, intrusive AI. What's not to love? I enjoyed the breath of the game system but wanted to hear a bit more about the MCs choices. Due to the storyline the MC moved very quickly without getting able time to work out his character options except for a general concept he works toward. In other litrpg I've read characters can sometimes labor over their build choices. Some people want more character sheet, some will be happy with less. It's a style choice. The story steadily progressed without much lull. The MCs situation is found to be more and more complicated as he learns about himself and the game system. I liked the pace overall. The MC gets unique advancement and abilities compared to peers, but we don't get to revel in his accomplishments long because he's always immediately put in over his head after he's had any growth. This drives the development, and will keep listeners who dislike OP MCs happy I'd imagine. I'm excited to see where this story goes from here!

Action and packed
I really wanted to like this book, it's got a lot of the things I like in it but it's so crowded I had trouble keeping track of what was going on. There are so many factions and objectives and everybody was so fluid in loyalty to those factions they didn't really mean anything. I'll consider the second book when it comes out but its not on my instant buy list.

Failure is just the beginning
The book has a cool start not your normal let's go play VR. Also a part I always like in a book no five chapter back story to explain the character, let's get that action. This is a fun filled ride. Lots of action a few plot twists. (Some you see coming some slap you) The character is not op or a idiot, great balance. I recieved a free audio code for my opinion of the book.

An Interesting Series
This is a stat heavy LitRPG with a sometimes overly complicated story which i found a little hard to keep up with, luckily i also had the ebook to double check on characters etc. The 2nd half of the audio became a little easier as we get used to the number of characters and stories that were going on. The general premise was good with plenty of twists and unexpected directions happening to keep any fan happy as does the underlying tech. If using lots of stat sheets, especially repeating the usual stats it would be handy to have this as each chapter end so you could skip or speed up rather than in locations you dont want to speed through in case you miss important facts. A solid 4 stars helped by the pick up towards the end

Good story, far far too many stats
I enjoyed the story for the most part. a bit of a cross over of litrpg genres with the MCs mind being transferred to a body on another planet where there is a game like system. some interesting twists on a popular theme, but far far too many stats. I almost gave up on the book so many times during the random readings overly detailed character sheets that added nothing to the story! I won't be buying the next book because of the stats.

The Story of "and now for a random twist"
The story started out great. Nice setting - I actually had feelings for the main character getting the short end of the stick. Then we touch down into the meat of the world, which seems a little thin, but that'll get topped up later, sort of, a bit, in future books, I assume. A few twists and chance encounters later, we've got a little action on the go, I can accept them so far, they're interesting and draw the story on. But with another twist and chance encounter later things are getting strange, why did that happen? who are these guys? a little bit of exposition later and then another twist and another along with a rug pull or two and I've lost who's allied to who, why people are doing what they are doing with/to the MC and the story feels like it is missing swathes of the plot which would allow you to see why it's gone in the direction it has. Then people are sacrificing themselves for what seems to be giggles, that I'm sure they will explain later, but a touch of common sense would tell you it was unnecessary other than: PLOT DEMANDS BIG FIGHT NOW and the MC can't have too much help for it... I've read in other reviews the book finishes strong, but I wouldn't know, I've dropped it with 4 hours to go. If you want action with just a hint of a potential good plot, this book may serve, but I'd take less action for more plot any day of the week. It's a shame because it seemed like a juicy universe.

Excellent
Takes a big dip in the story with about 3 hours to go but does recover quite quickly. Only reason for not getting 5 stars. Loved it, got some real armada/rp1 vibes from it!

An emotional rollercoaster
When the second chapter made me tear up I knew this was going to be a good one. The story is solid, the pacing is spot on and the characters are likeable. Some of the interactions between the characters are hilarious. It's refreshing to read a story that doesn't shy away from emotions. The only thing that felt a bit off for me were the mechanics. The way some skills work doesn't always makes sense. Nothing major and definitely not a deal-breaker. All in all its a great book.

A very good complex story
There is a real depth to this story, that can only get better with future books in the series. A really good performance by Neil as usual. Overall very good and looking forward to book 2.

Very good book interesting way of merging future tech with game element. only bad point was stat points not eplaind fully made them seem redundant or space filler, but narrator was good in he rushed over them.
