Publisher's Summary

Everything I want is here, in front of me.

Rusty Campbell left Hart’s Bay after high school to work in the wilderness. Now, he’s back home for one purpose: seaweed farming. To succeed, he’ll need to fight the tide and win over his skeptical family, once burned by the fishing industry collapse. But there are intriguing new faces bringing good fortune to Hart’s Bay, like the captivating redhead who watches him from the art gallery.

Six months after moving to this small town, Ezra Carter’s bed feels empty. Painting and running an art co-op with his friends doesn’t fill the same need. The city boy is seriously considering lowering his standards...until the man of his dreams walks in and throws his no-good hookup out of the bar.

Why does Rusty have to be straight?

Rusty is mystified at the surging chemistry between them, as their friendship grows. Is Ezra the missing piece to the puzzle of Rusty’s love life? As Rusty struggles to make sense of his feelings, he guides Ezra through his home territory to give the artist new inspiration, but he winds up becoming Ezra’s muse himself. Before long, they’re fumbling their way through uncharted waters.

Can their picture-perfect, no-labels relationship weather the storm brewing under their feet?

Wild Hart is the third book in the new Hart’s Bay series about a small town full of nosy but well-meaning neighbors and brotherly banter. It can be listened to on its own and promises a happily ever after ending with plenty of smiles and steam along the way. Just hold on. When the boat's a-rocking, don't come knocking!

I love Hart's Bay

And each couple who brings a little more life to this quirky little place just gets better and better. This is sweet, pretty low angst and boudreaux does a great job with the narration.

Wild Hart.

What a sweet love story. Rusty and Ezra started out as friends and their adventures together where quite funny at times. Rusty thought himself as straight, but was not successful in his rationships with women. But somethings attracted him to Ezra. This is such a lovely and heart-warming story and very interesting to follow them through the journey of discovering love. I absolutely loved this book.

I received the audio version from the Author and in return promised an honest and unbiased review.

couldn't take it.

Must admit a prejudice. I find it hard to take effeminate voices which the main character had. The story summary gave no indication of th is or I wouldn't have ordered it. was unable to finish listening.

Excellent!!

I have fallen hard for Hart's Bay & thoroughly LOVE Ezra!! I have a real soft spot for redheads. I love his journey to let go of his fear of losing loved ones and loving Rusty. Rusty's path to find his true self was beautiful.

I love Greg's voice for these characters. He is amazing!!

OMG

Oh. My. God. I love Ezra and Rusty.

Actually the whole Hart's bay series is amazing, but I just Love Ezra's energy and the way he pulls Rusty out.

E Davies has yet again written a master piece. I don't actually know what else to say about the book. Listen to it, and fall in love with Hart's Bay, just like I have.

Amazing book and narration!

I absolutely loved Ezra! He was such a loud and outgoing character who really had a quiet and sensitive side. I wa sso glad to see Rusty bring that out in him even more. Rusty never really thought about guys but couldn't figure out why he wasn't finding anyone interesting for a relationship. Meeting Ezra threw him for a real loop, but he went with it and didn't shy away from his feelings. I loved watching Rusty come to terms with his new reality and Ezra realize he is worthy of being loved. This was a great book, and I can't wait to read Aaron's book next. He made me fall for him a bit more in this book.

I'm not ashamed to say, "I'm an Ezra girl 100%!"

As a painter, I am always a sucker for artists in books. I wonder if they will share the same characteristics and personality traits I do. I fell in love with Ezra in book one, when I read it last summer and I remember even mentioning to the author over email how excited I was to read Ezra's story. I may have pictured an age gap in my mind for Ezra, but Rusty was much more perfect, which is why Ed's name is on the book and not mine. 😂😂

Ezra has the true spirit of a warrior wrapped in the heart of a caretaker. He is fiercely protective and loyal but scared of loss and the pain that accompanies it. The man the universe turns Ezra's way is everything Ezra needs save one... he wears the straight label. Odd thing about labels though, some were made to be removed.

This was a sweet love story about friendship that grew into something more beautiful than either Rusty or Ezra could have imagined. I absolutely loved every slow-burn second of it.

My Favorite story in the series so far!

Enjoyed!

Wild Hart is a low angst, sweet and a little bit steamy romance. I love a small town romance and this one is done so well. Ezra and Rusty move from strangers to friends to so much more than either expected. Along the way their journey turns into their very own HEA. The amazingly talented Greg Boudreaux does a wonderful job of giving voice to these characters and telling their story!

I'm loving this series

I'm really enjoying this series but I think this might well be my favourite of the three. Rusty is like clickbait for me. Muscled through hard work not the gym, dedicated, sweet as toffee, and straight... Eh? Well, he thinks he's straight until meets Ezra and starts questioning his sexuality. And I love a good sexual awakening story. Coupled with my favourite character type, well I'm in heaven.
The story is comparatively low angst, with Rusty accepting his shifting sexuality far easier than Ezra. The narrator is perfect in his performance yet again.
Highly recommended

Sweet & Romantic, a Real Gem!

They were all enjoyable, but I've got to say Wild Hart was my favorite. I love that trope, and the characters were so adorable and they worked so well together. This books in this series are definitely all standaloneable so read them in any order.

This series is my first experience with Ed Davies and I have to say, I'm hooked. Sweet, laugh-out-loud funny, and super sexy, the perfect recipe for a romance.

The audio version of the Hart's Bay novels are performed by Gregory Boudreaux and he does a marvelous job. He totally gets Mr. Davies' humor and I could practically hear him smiling during some of the funny bits. And, of course, the way he reads the romantic scenes is everything we could possibly want.

Fun and Snarky

Wild Hart definitely has some really fun moments, and some deeply steamy feels. Davies once again takes me to Hart's Bay and leaves me wanting more. Add in Boudreaux's narration and it truly is a great book, even a series, to listen to.

Gay for you troupe...

One of my favorite troupes. Rusty is straight as can be. He meets Ezra and become close friends. Ezra makes it clear how attracted he is to Rusty. What I like about this series is that their characters are clear as water. They don’t hide and even thinking they are straight, they accept their feelings with a fierce determination. I really enjoyed Ezra and Rusty’s romance.

Sweet, Fiesty, and Endearing!

I loved Ezra's story! He and Rusty were perfect together and I loved Ed's approach to Rusty and his personal and sexual discovery!

There is such a spark from the start between these two and I enjoyed the journey to finding themselves and explored their connection. I really enjoyed Rusty's story as he discovered and grew. He really came into himself and grew in confidence and was able to find himself, stand up for himself and find something he never knew he was looking for.

Ezra has always been a favorite of mine and his story didn't disappoint. He has such a big heart and thankfully it ended up being safe with Rusty.

A beautiful story of discovery and growth!

Thanks for reading!

Missed the angst and drama of the first two books

This is a good listen, with sweet, slow burn romance and connection, but it didn't have the same angst and drama as the first two books. I missed that, and I was a little bored in parts of it. The *drama* here is mostly a gay man trying to decide if he should take a risk on a questioning straight man, and said *straight* man deciding if he is truly straight. It's a good gay-for-you story, but light on angst beyond those personal decisions. There is a little drama and suspense related to a boating near mishap, but only for a chapter or two. The sex, when it happens is sweet and hot, but it's a long time coming as the characters work to figure out what they want.

The narration by Greg Boudreaux was strong with distinct voices for each character and good showing of emotion.

I received a complementary copy of this audiobook through the author and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

I loved Ezra and Rusty’s story. They are absolutely adorable together.

Just gets better

Once again Greg Boudreaux & E Davies bring Hart's Bay and it's inhabitants to life, expanding on the first two books of the series.
