Summary

I absolutely loved this book. It’s funny and has the devil wears prada vibes. The banter, the sarcasm..it had me in stitches…lol

Liked the narrators (Thomas is one of my favs) and the storyline where the male character falls hard for the FMC. Some great friendships in the book.

The story was ingeniously and expertly woven and I couldn’t get enough of the warm, caressing and sexy voice of Thomas.

A solid 4.5, duet narration. I wasn't too sure about the storyline in the beginning, but then I ended up binge listening and crying. Good crying though!

Kicked in the feels

The narrators were INCREDIBLE. Male one in particular is possibly the 2nd sexiest voice I’ve ever heard…
And to think I almost skipped this one/book 1 because I really didn’t think I’d like it… I absolutely LOVED it.
I read a review where someone said the FMC is not very likeable, but she definitely was for me, and such a welcome change from the usual female lead characters… in fact she might be one of my new fave FMCs.
Oh and don’t even get me started on the spice… not a ton of it, and technically most was fairly vanilla, but someone explain to me how it was SO INCREDIBLY HOT!? Literally every smutty scene was chefs kiss.
I mean JTG really doesn’t disappoint often, but this book was right up there with her Q&M series, so I’m HELLA excited to read book 2 and 3 now.
