About this listen

Top neurosurgeon Samantha Thomson needs to get married fast and is tightlipped as to why. And with over $200,000 on offer to tie the knot, no questions asked, cash-strapped ER nurse Hayden Perez isn't about to demand answers.

The deal is only for a year of marriage, but Hayden's going into it knowing it will be a nightmare. Sam is complicated, rude, kind of cold, and someone Hayden barely tolerates at work, let alone wants to marry. The hardest part is that Hayden has to convince everyone around them that they're madly in love and that racing down the aisle together is all they've ever wanted.

I loved this book and the characters even the ones that aren’t meant to be likeable are very likeable. Well performed and written. It hit than comfy spot of inevitability love.

Sucker for a love being obvious

While it's not my normal type of book, I was very invested in this story and it seemed to drag out but also not go long enough. I think I might even give it another listed. Well read, well written, five stars!

Classic romance novel with a few twists

the story was well written, the characters charming and the journey to romance never felt forced. the narrator's voice was a delight and I found myself smiling and laughing and hurting along with the characters. it might be one story I return to again later.

I quite enjoyed the journey.
