Publisher's Summary

This book is not about how to be a "successful caregiver"; otherwise, this book would not exist. This book is about pure, raw emotions.

In June of 2012, I suddenly found myself in a caregiving role with my dad overnight. Due to an accident my mother had, I stepped into a caregiving role that was unfamiliar and unexpected. I realized that you can know someone all your life but have no clue how to care for them physically, emotionally, and mentally. I also realized that caregiving stretches you in ways that you can't prepare for a head of time.

Emotions both good and bad come to the surface. Unanticipated challenges come at you left and right. Through journaling my emotions and thoughts, I received a lot of truth, peace, and healing. I know that the caregiving experiences of others may be far more heartbreaking and difficult than mine, yet I suspect some of the emotions are similar. I wrote this book with the simple intent to share. It is my hope and prayer that my transparent journey of caregiving will bring laughter, tears, and much healing as you listen to this book.

You are not alone! When I needed God the most, he was faithful....he even sent redbirds!
