Story
Stephen Fry travels into the most remarkable place we know - our brain. The organ of knowledge and the one we know least about. Over 12 episodes Stephen explores just how much we’ve learned about this mysterious structure in recent years and tries to answer some of the most difficult questions that remain. To do this, we relay the discoveries and stories of neuroscientists, psychologists, anthropologists and even philosophers, to add illumination and perspective as we travel. Each episode will be full of brainy stories: some shocking, some thrilling, some scarcely believable.

Story
Perhaps thanks to TV period dramas, the popular imagination may picture the Edwardian era as an idyllic window between the wars, a time of manners and tea on the lawn. But below the surface lies a frenetic and often bizarre age where scientific leaps forward went hand in hand with belief in fairies, and secrets of sex, lies and murder simmered. Across 12 episodes, in this sequel to his Victorian Secrets, Stephen Fry uncovers some of the startling and unexpected hidden histories of the Edwardians.

interesting but difficult to keep listening....
It was ok, but the thing that frustrated me and really impacted on my enjoyment, to the extent, I really struggled to continue......
It was not the story, not the content and not the narration , BUT at the end of EVERY single dam chapter the old written, directed, acted, researcher, bla bla bla was done, this was so unnecessary and really ruined my enjoyment of the story!!!!
It was frustrating and as annoying please don't don't do that again.

Should have been called The Suspect
A podcast for fans of true crime entertainment. Like most accounts of violent crime the focus is not on the victim of the crime or the traumatic impact on those close to them. In this case the prime suspect dominates the account. A man of excruciating arrogance and boundless desire for attention. A man who will suck up all the oxygen he can and it seems the podcasters naively gave him more. The podcasters should have named the podcast after him because he made himself the star of the show.

An engaging story that is less "true crime" and more about investigation, comedy of errors that is no comedy, suspects and witnesses who do themselves no favors by their actions and failing court of public opinion. The story captures your attention and won't let go. Well done podcast.

An unexpected, immersive experience!
This podcast managed to draw you into not only the mystery, but also the town, the people as well as the scenery (which almost became a cast member all in itself). I appreciated the unbiased way in which the facts were presented without losing its personality...or ever letting you forget that at the heart of this documentary lies a tragic, unsolved murder which has and still is affecting many lives. SUPERBLY researched, presented and narrated!

Ok
Started out it was a 5 rating.. But, IMO the story seemed to devolve by episode 8 and the rest was a rehash of every person's *feeling* out there. So, it ended as a 3 and I split the difference and rated it a 4
