About this listen

[Contains Mature Themes] West Cork, Ireland is an outpost at the edge of Europe. Rugged, windswept, and coastal, it was a region of farmers and fisherman until the 1960s, when it was discovered by the “blow-ins”—artists, urban runaways, and people who drove until the road ran out. It was a haven for those wanting to turn their backs on their old lives and start over. But then there was a murder in West Cork, and everything changed overnight.©2018 Audible Originals, LLC (P)2018 Audible Originals, LLC

This is the best podcast I’ve heard. It’s brilliant. The sound, the voices and the music are fabulous. The story is so well told and numerous people have told this story but Sam Bungey and Jennifer Forde have presented the most honest, unbiased and insightful telling of this extraordinary case. Their interviewing skills are wonderful, they draw people out very subtly. Their inclusions of quotes and the various voices of the story are placed beautifully throughout the podcast. Just brilliant!

I really enjoyed this pod cast there was a lot of information however they readers did a great job of developing a clear story to allow them to tell this sad story.

Wonderfully read

I enjoyed this podcast series, great performance, good interviews, good research, put together well, good flow etc. and although it concluded well I was left wanting more so I watched the Netflix series and it was so disappointing in comparison.

better then the Netflix series
