What a life!

Super impressed with this book. It's a story of seeking - what can make us whole in the modern world. And boy do we try! Brigid's journey through Sydney, Melbourne, London, and New York is just exhilarating. Makes me marvel at her intrepidness. Her craft with words is obvious - she knows how to make things dance with humour, insight, personal experience, and broader perspective. But this is an audio book as well. And the performance is an equal to the material. The narrator has the range to bring Brigid's life straight into your ears. Chapter 24 was an eye opener for me. As an Aussie, I hear about Bali every second day - but I truly didn't know that it was the hub of a 'wellness' industry. I won't spoil it any further though. But it's worth the price of entry alone. Anecdotes for life. Again - kudos to the narrator.

Good read, but not for a laugh

I bought this whilst scrolling through "Comedy" and whilst it does provide some amusement, it's not a side splitting read.

Not for me

Difficult to stick with this book. I got a couple of points out of it but it was a hard slog and maybe not worth the investment.

long and boring

struggled to finish this. Disorientating, as the book goes back in time and then forward and then back again, very hard to keep up with
