Publisher's Summary

We are living through unprecedented circumstances. This global pandemic is disrupting life as we know it, in ways we could never have imagined.

We Are in This Together is a practical and inspiring compass for navigating these turbulent times, moving from resistance to resilience, to take care of yourself and your family in the chaos. It will help you stay calm, figure out what to prioritise, simplify your life and lay the groundwork for renewal. Ultimately, it will inspire an awakening to the hope and potential that this situation offers us all.

It has been apparent for many years that humanity needs to slow down, and this may be our opportunity. This audiobook explores ways to embrace slower living and become more self-reliant, while recognising the interconnectedness of everyone and everything.

With perspectives from across the globe and a host of journal prompts to help you capture your own experience of this time, this audiobook will be a comfort and a gentle reminder of all we have to be grateful for.

It is an invitation to pause, breathe and simply do the best we can in the situation we are in. In doing so, we can open up space for reflection, rejuvenation and hope, as we embrace the present and re-imagine how we want to live.

We are in this together. We will get through this together.

And maybe, just maybe, the world will be a better place on the other side.

Like An Encouraging Conversation With a Friend

This short little gem feels like a lovely sigh and moment of compassionate mindfulness. Now I know many of us will not be able to directly relate to some of the things Beth mentions (she is a published author who has been able to travel the world on a pretty regular basis and is an entrepreneur who has been able to work from home and make her own hours), however I think this is a book that offers an opportunity for simple reflections and a moment to recenter in the wake of a pandemic. This is not a heavy hitting book on the nitty gritty elements that have arisen during this global crisis (though overarching struggles are absolutely mentioned), it feels like a kind conversation of encouragement from a friend. This was a welcome listen and the simple and kind sentiments were appreciated. This is a lovely restorative listen for those that may just be taking a day or afternoon for themselves and want to sit, listen, and allow themselves an exhale. Really recommend for those looking for a bit of comfort and some gentle self reflection.

Another great book from Beth

I loved Beths book on wabi Sabi so didn’t hesitate to pick this up, being fascinated by the wisdom of all things Japanese. She did not disappoint. A refreshing look at the current worldwide situation which was both informative, personal and challenging. I liked the pauses for thought at the end of each chapter and the book has left me thinking and questioning my purpose and what I can do to make the future world a better place. Great narration too. Would highly recommend any of Beths books.

A little gem amidst the craziness of Covid19

Absolutely loved listening to this beautifully written, narrated and thought-provoking book. Beth has captured the spiritual essence of the Covid lockdown not just as a harrowing experience for all involved but also as an incredible invitation to reinvent our lives into a "new normal" where love, kindness and quality time with friends and family replaces the old paradigm of empty consumerism and busy-ness for the sake of being busy. A book full of hope for a better "normal".

Perfect comforting lockdown listening..

Remarkable book written during the UK lockdown. With a warm hopeful hug for a positive ‘evolving normal’ in the future. We know we are all in this together, but this book is a great reminder of the power of kindness we have experienced during this challenging period.
