I expected aging out of the foster care system to be hard. I wasn't expecting it to include finding out I was a Warlock, destined to be hunted by the most powerful Witch Families so they could bind me to a coven of thirteen witches and spend the rest of my life "harvesting mana". Add to that a set of magical resonants that made me an even bigger target to some of those Witch Families, some of which would rather kill me than let a rival get me.

a truly fantastic read. the world is well built and the characters are compelling the progression of his power isn't rushed or realy slow like some books. and the spicy scenes are well done

great story, well narrated and kept me interested from the start. a well fleshed out world and the pace felt about right. could definitely be a little more depth to the side characters but I'd happily listen to it again.

I was having difficulty finding something fun and fiction and resigned to put up with bad performances and look for a good story. But I accidentally found both!!! This is great! Lots of twists and turns. Exactly what I was looking for with just the right amount of everything.

Sonstory was ok, and no complaints on narration. Ultimately I couldn't finish the book because it felt more and more like an American college drama with magic. I gave it 4 stars because I guess not to my tastes and not the books fault.

I brought this audiobook this morning and couldn't put it down once, I've already finished it and im disappointed that now I have to wait for more, the story has great moments of tension as well as fantastic moments of humour that just kept me engaged all day

Enjoyed the audiobook and the story presented. If I had to say the thing I didn’t like it would be some of Noah’s attitude. For the most part it was good, the MC discovering the truth of who he is and his stumbling around trying to catch up with people who have lived the life since birth. I think it was more his constant whining that no one tells him anything or that he had no control over stuff. I think a regular person would simply feel uncomfortable and out of place but would have given serious focus to move forward. Still it’s my opinion here, but it wasn’t enough to deter me in purchasing the 2nd volume as I did enjoy the narrative.

Very enjoyable read.

Story: Had a good time. The setting felt real, and even though the idea of a magic school isn't new, I never felt it let the story down. Also the Smut wasn't over done at all, 95% is contained in one chapter and I like that.

Characters: There are a lot of books in this or a very similar genera. This one manages to pull off a believable main character, and I fund the interactions between all the characters to be believable and likable.

Overall: Should you read this? Yes. I'll be excitedly waiting for the sequel.

Worth a listen, book started out strong but got ruined a bit in the last few hours by excessive sex scenes that bring little to the story. The voices actors are really good especially the female voice actor, really gets the emotion across.
