Publisher's Summary

Go zero to 60 in this dangerously sexy novel from number-one New York Times best-selling author Christine Feehan. The Torpedo Ink motorcycle club has its relationships put to the test in this gritty, suspenseful new installment of the series as members seek to build new lives - and find love - in the community of Sea Haven.

Breezy Simmons was born into a ruthless motorcycle club - and now that she’s out, she’s never going to be that girl again. But when her past catches up with her, Breezy must go to Sea Haven to seek out the man who almost destroyed her. The man who chose his club over her and left her feeling used and alone.

As vice president of Torpedo Ink, Steele is ride or die for the brothers with whom he lived through hell. He never thought he’d find something as pure as his feelings for Breezy or that keeping her safe would mean driving her away with cruel words that turned her love for him to ash.

Now, Steele won’t let her walk away twice. He’ll do whatever it takes to make Breezy his woman again - especially when he learns the real reason she came to him for help and that the stakes are higher than he ever could have imagined....

Well worth listening to

I cant begin to tell you how good this story was to listen to. It is a emotional book to say the least. I wont spoil and give away to much, but these characters are excellent. And through the power of the narrator he tells the story like we are watching a scene unfolding..... beautiful

Bummed by the outcome of this book

so, here's the thing, I Love CF she is an amazing author. I love how intense the stories and characters are. My hang up with this book stemmed from the fact that this series is a spin off of a previous series which was a spin off of a previous series and while I hoped the excitement of previous storylines would continue, this book was boring. Nearly 14 hours of listening to the two characters inner dialogue about the horrible things that happened to them, and how that's why they are the way they are, but instead of them talking about this the entire first 2/3 of the books was a back and forth of you belong to me let me explain vs. you kicked me out you didnt want me. There was about 20 minutes of actual action and then you get another 2 hours of emotional drama. While I appreciate the horrific pasts each character has survived, I think the series would maintain its excitement with an even split of emotional drama and action. I loved the last 3-4 hours of the book even with the lack of action in the last 2 hours. But a lot of the middle should have been left out or switched to keep up the nail biting adrenaline endusing plot that I expect and love from CF.
I will prolly read the next in the series because I'm invested with these characters but I really hope the next novel has more action!

🌻Tough subject matter, in this series!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

This is my second time, through this series. I didn’t write a review, the first time through. This is not an easy series to listen to. The major characters are severely, emotionally scarred individuals. They were all physically and sexually abused, as children, and they are scarred inside and out.

I’m this book, Steal finds the woman that can help him navigate his nightmares.

There is a lot of violence and sex, in these books. The violence is revenge and vigilante based, as far as the members of torpedo ink, are concerned.

The sex may seem excessive but, these individuals have Not been taught how to express their feelings. They are more able to express their feelings through sexual relations. Keep that in mind, while listening to this series.

The narration, it’s Jim Frangione, who is one of the most talented narrators, in the business, nothing more needs to be said.

mildly disappointed

I LOVE feehan and ALL of her Drake sisters, bound, and was LOVING torpedo ink, but this book left something to be desired. it didn't pull me in. it almost feels like she was on auto pilot writing this one. I hope the next one lives up to her usual greatness.

find the good from the bad

Christine Feehan brings us another tortured soul and the woman who stole his heart. I love these bad ass bikers while, at the same time, my heart breaks at the abuse they were forced to endure. These characters and their story will sweep you right back into the lives of the members of Torpedo Inc. Jim Frangione knows exactly how to portray their feelings and suck you in.

Not the best.

I am always eager to read a new Christine Feehan book in this or the Dark series. This one was disappointing. It was so slow because of all the time spent retelling and retelling what the brothers went through in their earlier years. I realize Steel coming to grips with his issues was part of the trajectory of the story, but I just wanted to jump ahead every time the story got to another retelling of the experiences in the school. It was a struggle to finish this one.

This was a freest listen!!! Do not miss it,!

This is definitely a dark romance! It does have graphic detailed violence scenes…and some recollections of horrific childhood violence. But there is an underlying storyline about child trafficking and pedophilia and a group that are fighting against it.

Narrative was great and the love and romance heart warming. Especially the sex scenes! WOW!

The story held my interest, was exciting and keep me listening. Best of all when it ended I felt good!!!

Not a big fan of the narrator

I really wish that Jim would work on his voices rather then sounding like the same person is always talking. At least try a little man!

Good story line but too much porn.

I have enjoyed many of Christine Feehan's books but this one has decended into porn in my opinion. The story line is good but I really don't wish to hear (or read) over 40 minutes of fairly hardcore porn before the story line resumes for a few minutes.......then the hero and heroine are at it again for another 30 minutes!! Considering that this previously estranged couple have only reunited to find their 2 year old toddler son who has been kidnapped by paedophiles, I find this level of explicit sex gratuitous and unlikely. It detracts from a potentially good story line.

Too much

I like hot sex in my books but the pages and pages of repetitive sex was, in my opinion, totally unnecessary and detracted from the plot. The characters were, as is usual with Christine’s books, really well drawn but the long drawn out gratuitous sex scenes spoiled it for me.

Sadly A Great Disappointment

I struggled wuth this one. Usually the sex contributes to the story but this is just gratuitous. Completely lost the sense of the story. Pity because the whole plot surrounding the rescue of a small boy could have been very interesting. I always look forward to Feet and books. This is just formulaic.
