Publisher's Summary

Go zero to 60 in this dangerously sexy novel from number-one New York Times best-selling author Christine Feehan. The Torpedo Ink motorcycle club has its relationships put to the test in this gritty, suspenseful new installment of the series as members seek to build new lives - and find love - in the community of Sea Haven.

Breezy Simmons was born into a ruthless motorcycle club - and now that she’s out, she’s never going to be that girl again. But when her past catches up with her, Breezy must go to Sea Haven to seek out the man who almost destroyed her. The man who chose his club over her and left her feeling used and alone.

As vice president of Torpedo Ink, Steele is ride or die for the brothers with whom he lived through hell. He never thought he’d find something as pure as his feelings for Breezy or that keeping her safe would mean driving her away with cruel words that turned her love for him to ash.

Now, Steele won’t let her walk away twice. He’ll do whatever it takes to make Breezy his woman again - especially when he learns the real reason she came to him for help and that the stakes are higher than he ever could have imagined....

Well worth listening to

I cant begin to tell you how good this story was to listen to. It is a emotional book to say the least. I wont spoil and give away to much, but these characters are excellent. And through the power of the narrator he tells the story like we are watching a scene unfolding..... beautiful

It was really hard to listen to.

The performance of the reader was good, but the main characters absolutely terrible. The arrogance of male character,
I just couldn’t listen to it at times. And the girl was absolutely disappointing. All he had to do is wiggle his finger and she was back to being a slave. The writer was trying to make her be a strong women but in the girls head only, certainly not through her actions. Can’t even finish the book it’s so bad. But to as far as I got she never once won an argument, always gave in to his demands. She has spirt, no confidence, no self esteem or even a tiny little bit pride.

oh boy oh boy oh boy

this book gave me the impression it wasn't as gritty as reaper (book 1)
but as Steele's story came to the fore ...it was...his ptsd was just as gut wrenching.
i was wondering why he was doing what he was doing (no spoilers) but after his memories spilled out...there it was...and why.
the childhood of these alphas are truly dark and like the first book there may be TRIGGERS...so beware.
the heroine is strong and sassy...I'm pretty sure Ms Feehan has left herself no option for her heroines as they need some kick ass strength to cope with the darkness in the hero.
there was a couple of repeat ideals from Anya...book 1 and Breezy...book 2 but the plotline was different and the steamy scenes were different due to each alphas tortured past.
Jim Fragione does a good job with his tone and pace, his female voice is subtle and there is no pretense of a Russian accent ...his words are well rounded and well pronounced.

Absolutely Loved this book

I absolutely loved this book, Christine brought all the characters to life while reading it. It had action, sadness and a beautiful love story. The characters are very easy to relate to.
