USA TODAY BESTSELLER

The Vanderpump Rules breakout star and provocateur brings her signature sharp wit with this collection of humorous and brutally honest essays exploring her rocky road to fame, sobriety, and beyond.

What does “Give them Lala” mean? It means giving the truest, most honest version of yourself to the world. It means being authentic, bold, adventurous, and having an unapologetic approach to life.

Hollywood is where Lauren Burningham, aspiring actress from Utah, fully embraced her alter-ego Lala Kent, entrepreneur, entertainer, and film and television star. Some say she’s rude; Lala says she claps back. Some say she’s spontaneous; Lala says “eat up the drama.” Some say she’s too bold; Lala knows she’s reality TV gold. Truth is, without giving them Lala, Lauren could never have become the woman she is today.

In her debut collection of essays, Lala shares how you, too, can embrace the best version of yourself and never feel guilty for deserving more. As she leads us on her bumpy journey from suburban boredom to Hollywood glamour, she’ll explain how women can—and should—feel just as free as men when it comes to sex, how sobriety saved her life and relationship, and how we should treasure every day we have with those we love.

Loved it!

Loved listening to this! Lala is so raw about her life which is beautiful to hear. It has great lessons about growing up, bullying and sexuality.. and also how to become the best version of yourself by integrating all those parts of yourself and never giving up. Very impressed!

A REAL story about REAL life

Hearing her relatable stories and seeing how she came out the other side so much stronger (and sober!), is super inspiring to a young woman such as myself. Lala shows us that we all go through really hard times, we all say and do things we wish we could take back, and she shows us not just how we can keep going, but how to make those stories who we are and how to use them to benefit our lives. Thank you Lala

Insightful

A very raw, honest bibliography. It felt a bit too jumpy in places but overall a great read.

Inspiring.

Inspired by LaLa to take a look at my drinking habits and i have been sober 14 months and will never go back. Iv also flown from Australia to check out SUR and the other places in West Hollywood and even experienced gay pride. Just like ‘friends and Seinfeld’ are great comforts to LaLa, VPR is to me especially during lockdown and then to walk into SUR, it was unbelievable. I loved getting to know LaLa better and i can only pray that another book is on its way. Thank you for your honesty some may not like it but we can absolutely respect it.

Checks all the boxes

Enjoyed it from start to finish. I may be a little bias as I do enjoy VPR and have shared interest in Lala’s story over the years, however I don’t think you have to be a fan of the show to enjoy this book. Throughout the book there are little (big) life lessons that no matter who you are, you can take something from it.
It checks all the boxes for me, laughter, tears and sadness.

raw honestly

I didn't expect Lala to be so open. it was refreshing and interesting. At times it was cringe, but so is life. It was an easy listen. I hope she writes another book. post-randell
