like joe i had not realised how much i missed the number of returning characters who make an appearance in this must read for fans of the series.

This series started great many years ago. But it feels like it went too wide and the author has spent this book trying to refocus his MC and plot. it started with an ADHD MC who battles baddies and builds rituals and has a secret god who looks out for him but this whole book was basically consolidating and deleting powers the author gave MC and reintroducing the character to side characters he introduced like 5 books ago. I don't really understand where the progression is here. The whole thing feels like we're listening to a hard reset. maybe it's me but if you're going to write a litrpg profession series and then just not do any progressing then what's happening? Like there's not even a foreword from the author saying he's trying to get his series back on track so I'm not sure it's worth sticking with this series. I think the author waited too long to finish this series and is either in a different place or came back to it after so much time that he can't remember what he wanted it to be or changed his vision. Either way super clunky. Only thing saving this is the narrator who is great
