Publisher's Summary

Sophie

All I did was try to help my best friend escape her abusive boyfriend. And for that I ended up in a wheelchair. Life’s no longer worth living. No man will want me now. But my nightmare is only beginning. Ethan wants me as leverage to get his woman back.

I end up under the protection of the Satan’s Devils, an outlaw motorcycle club in Arizona. The woman I was would have been in her element among a group of handsome, rugged bikers; the disabled woman I am now feels scared and vulnerable, and soon I find this isn’t the safest place to hide.

But with a contract out on me, there’s nowhere else for me to go. There’s one reason for me to stay, the VP of the Satan’s Devils who teaches me to feel like a whole woman again.

Wraith

She doesn’t fit into our world. Fuck, even if she wasn’t in that damn wheelchair she’d be out of her element. But as soon as I saw her something attracted me to her.

From the start I wanted her, but she thinks she’s undesirable and is scared of taking a man to her bed as though her disability defines who she is. I’m going to need to teach her she’s wrong.

But before I can take my chance everything goes to shit. She’s under our protection, but we fail to protect her from one of our own.

couldn't stop listening to this

What a really great story this was to listen to. With the different narrators accent it all totally was wonderful
I really hope there's more coming in this series because I for one will be definately getting more. This was such a compelling and addictive book to listen to. 5stars overall for both a exceptional story and wonderful narrators

shut the front door

I so enjoy listening to MC romance/suspense and I haven't really had anything impress me since Tillie Cole's Hades Hangmen series...( which is still the grittier I've ever listened to)
and T M Frazier. but Manda Mellett. hats off to you. what a great idea re the heroine's background and blending it into the heroes.
a totally different concept yet under the same trope. I loved it. other MC books I've listened to have been on the lighter side and mild with descriptions and
although Manda didn't delve into club disciplines and get gritty about it, the tone was enough for me to keep it tangible and 'real'.
some reviews have said it was too far-fetched but I fail to see it.
the plotline is the same in relation to h needing protection it's just written from a different angle. I so enjoyed the romance, the hot scenes, and the suspense. the pace rolled along nicely and I learned about MC life through the h's eyes. which I might add was pretty clever.
the only bit over the top was the ending. It kinda turned sweet and a bit cheesy and some questions about the h's friend comes to my mind but it isn't answered...not to say that it won't be, perhaps in another book.
The narration was brilliant and I loved the accents.
Looking forward to the rest of the series. there seems to be some pretty gut wrenching plots in store.
