OK storyline lousy Narration

the book was ok. Predictable storyline but with a few surprises. Please do not use the narrator again. Maria sounded like a french robot and most of the narration was pretty bad.

Narration was not good

Loved the story however, the voice of the narrator in this book did not give life to the characters. It made Agent Zero sound weak. I liked the narration of the earlier books in the series. I would love to read about Maya’s adventures as an agent. Keep up the good writing and please go back to your book 3 narrator.

narrator change affected my experience

I'm sure there was good reason for the narrator change 3 books in, but it affected and changed the characters for me. Main characters went from cool to nerdy sounding.

Was my least favorite of the series

So far the series has been pretty good. But this title was a bit to unbelievable at times for me. They also changed the narrator for this book, and I think that is what really disappointed me. He made alot of his male characters sound alike, as well as kinda dorky.

Explosive!!

I was very happy to see the fourth book in the Kent Steele series. I was also very disappointed to see that Edoardo Ballerini was not the narrator. I think Brian Callanan did a good job except for the female characters who all spoke haltingly and sounded almost robotic. Anyway, the story itself is excellent. This one involves a small terrorist group separate from any of the well known extremists groups but with the same agenda, only they want to create the worst attack in history. Wiith help coming from inside the US they have a chance of succeeding. Meanwhile, Kent Steele is having flashbacks. He goes to Zurich to find the doctor who was responsible for his memory loss. He finds him and the doctor attempts to help him retrieve what was lost. It gets a little hokey here and this whole part could have been left out. On the street he's recruited back into active CIA service never knowing that he's being set up. From this point on the action really starts and builds right up to it's explosive ending. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED If you found this review helpful please indicate so. Thank You.

Narration almost stopped me from finishing this book.

What happened to the former narrator? Th e book content is great, but not narration. Put the narration on 1.25 to remedy some of the problems.

New narrator does not work

The new narrator is less than equal to previous books and makes it extremely painful to listen to the story. Why did they switch? The had a winning combination in previous books. Disappointed.

Gripping as always. Changed narrator mid-series. Please bring Edoardo back for the remainder of series.

AUDIBLE KNOW'S BETTER

A perfectly good story, written well by the author, dies at the hands of the narration fiasco. the first two novels were performed at a quick tempo that enhanced the energy of the story. Book three is read in a slow, choppy method which effectively killed the whole effort.

Overall a good read, but narrator not so good

I have to agree with the majority. The storyline itself I enjoyed; the new narrator's portrayal of the women in the story made me cringe. He was very stilted and choppy on the women's voices only, making him very difficult to listen to. Shame as I very much enjoy the Agent Zero series.

Zero

Again a great follow up as per I’m real a fan of Jack Mars and the Kent Steel series. But I didn’t enjoy he narrator and there was a lot back ground noise compared to the last three books a listened to it became quite irritating

Sometimes a bit fast fetched..

The difference between the reader of the first three books and fourth is day and night. Maria in the fourth book is now oriental and Kent steel lost his hard edge. I could not really concentrate when she was speaking. First three books was the terrorist group ahmEN. know prounouced ahmOOn?. As with book 3 great leaps and far fetched. But all in all a nice easy listen.

Terrible lazy writing

The first book in the series was ok, the second book was ok. The third book was similar and average the fourth is even worse with the same story line. Terribly poor lazy writing. I would definitely not recommend purchasing this book. The author should be embarrassed.
