Story of Blaine and Alex
This is a hockey player x fan to more sports romance, featuring Blaine and Alex, and is book one in the Chicago Thunder series.
Blaine is a hockey player for the Chicago Thunder and he is a bit of a playboy. Alex is a local baker and a massive fan of the Chicago Thunder hockey team.
They cross paths at one of the games, through the plexi glass, and WHAM insta- attraction for both of them. After the game, Alex and Blaine run into each other at the local pub and Blaine tries to pick Alex up but Alex turns him down as he knows about Blaine’s reputation and doesn’t want to be another notch on his bedpost.
Blaine can’t stop thinking about Alex and as if the universe was shining down on them, their paths cross again. Woo hoo!
This book is low angst, sweet, full of cheesy pick up lines, banter, texting, wooing, dates and emotions. I loved how this story was all about their relationship development and both of them healing wounds from past relationships and learning to trust and love again. And also supporting each other and not trying to solve the problems for them.
It’s a great first book for the series and I’m looking forward to reading the next one.
I loved the audiobook too.
