Story
In 10 on-the-couch sessions, New Zealand clinical psychologist Karen Nimmo diagnoses, explains and treats Busy as F*ck syndrome, the condition that's consuming us all, whether we realize it or not. If we are going to squeeze the most from ourselves and our all-too-short lives, we need to be able to gauge when our Busy as F*ckness is compromising (or drip-feed destroying) our physical and emotional health, when we're hurting people we love, and when we're becoming that person others want to hide from.

Story
Good Sugar Bad Sugar tackles the biggest dietary threat to the modern world: sugar. Due to refined sugar in so many foods, we are seeing epidemics of obesity and type II diabetes on a global scale. The warnings are stark - a 50 percent rise in the death toll from type II diabetes in the next 10 years - yet it's not as straightforward as telling people to cut down on the sugar. Sugar consumption is an addiction that begins at birth and it requires a proven method to get you free.

Gandhi's nonviolent struggles against racism, violence and colonialism in South Africa and India had brought him to such a level of notoriety and adulation that when asked to write an autobiography midway through his career, he took it as an opportunity to explain himself. Poor narration
I purchased this book as an Audible book. I find non fiction and specifically philosophy and Buddhism enters my brain more if I listen rather than read. Audible are a brilliantly customer focused organisation such that if you find and buy a book you "just can’t get on with" you can easily return it. I now do this regularly as I make daft choices, and initially I thought that this book was one to return for a refund. But I stuck with it for a couple of chapters, increased the reading speed to 1.2 and bingo, all was fine. Except for Dr Chopra’s relatively monotonous reading tone that assuredly would be better replaced by a professional narrator. In the end I just had to put it down and give up, I was falling asleep listening to it so maybe I need to consider buying the kindle edition.

Very practical and enjoyable
Firstly I love the sound of Deepak Chopra's voice. I find it incredibly soothing therefore it is always a pleasure to listen to him.
This is a very different approach to meditation as it discusses it being used in your day to day life. Ultimately bringing about a happier more fulfilled existence.
I listen to a lit of Spiritual teachings and I really enjoyed this broader more practical approach to applying the learning and practices.
Thank you!
