Publisher's Summary

When former Secret Service agent Eve Garrett gets a late night call from Tiffany Clayborne saying, "Eve, please come and get me", she books over to the bar Tiffany says she's at. She met the girl when she was still an agent. Tiffany was her first assignment and she developed a big sister attachment to the kid that continues to this day. However, when Eve gets to the bar, she sees some suspicious activity in a dark alley and her gut tells her that Tiffany is involved. When she goes after her, she's knocked out, and when she comes to, Tiffany is gone. Eve believes that Tiffany is in danger. But when she goes to Tiffany's father, he doesn't want Eve anywhere near Tiffany. After all, she was in charge the last time Tiffany got hurt. Eve and Tiffany have put that incident behind them. Her father has not. He plans to hire his own private detective to check into this. Eve doesn't trust Tiffany's safety to anyone else and decides to hunt for her on her own. However, during her search in Miami, Florida, she runs into Clayborne's detective - her old flame, Mac, who loved her and left her. He's the last person she wants to see, especially on this case. However, when several attempts are made on Eve's life, Mac decides that they should stick together. And the closer they get to Tiffany, the more deadly secrets unfold and the more the danger rises.

Good

To the Limit is a good Audible, great narrator and awesome start and middle to the book. The ending was a little long and drawn out without enough punch to it; could have been so much more. It's definitely worth the listen; there's great characters, story and romantic suspense, my kind of book.

Great read, great narrator

Though I've read a few books with the same plot, this author has a definite way with words that kept me interested. The narrator was awesome. He is one of the few who can do a women's voice without it sounding like a man doing a women's voice. Loved it and highly recommend.

Great except the language and explicit sex.

Still don't understand why you have to put the full language and explicit sex in a book. Would be so much better without it.

Decent story, but cheesy sex scenes

I had to ff thru the sex scenes as they were embarrassingly corny. Good story, but could have
Done without them.

Old Flame, New Love?

The Garrett family saga continues with Cindy and Alastair delivering another sizzling action packed romance this time featuring sister Eve.

Eve Garrett's life sucks and its all her 'Frenemie' Tiffanys fault. First she's attacked when she goes to meet her. Then her attacker tells her she's dead but doesn't know it. And just to put the icing on the cake whilst breaking and entering looking for information she's confronted by a blast from the past, old flame Mac. The boy she's never forgotten or forgiven no matter how hard she's tried.

When jaded former cop, now P. I. Mac is hired to find a reclusive Billionaire's daughter he never thought that it would bring him face to face with the girl who he let get away. He certainly didn't think that it would be at the wrong end of a gun. Or that he would end up saving them both from a bomb blast.

The two reluctant collaborators go on the hunt for Tiffany and discover a dastardly plot. Eve fights her attraction and her preconceptions of bad boy' Mac. As well as the dawning realisation that her old flame could be her new love and maybe, just maybe her HEA.

I can't wait to find out what happens next to the family. Roll on the next book.

Funny, Sexy, Exciting

Cindy Gerard is one of my favorite authors and this has easily become one of my most listened to Audible books. The characters are engaging, the story is exciting, and it’s always a win when an author can make you laugh out loud.

Alastair Haynesbirdge is brilliant! He seamlessly flows between characters bringing all of the personalities into the mix.

Gerard/Haynebirdge for (another) win!
