Story
Wolf of the North: It has been generations since the Northlands have seen a hero worthy of the title. Many have made the claim, but few have lived to defend it. Timid, weak, and bullied, Wulfric is as unlikely a candidate as there could be. Jorundyr's Path: Jorundyr's Path is walked only by the brave. As Wulfric pursues Adalhaid's Blood Debt, he soon learns that the path to revenge is never easy. The Blood Debt: A blade fit for a hero. An army for a tyrant. A reckoning long awaited, and a tale reaching its end.

Publisher's Summary
The Wolf's Call is an action-packed fantasy epic from New York Times best seller Anthony Ryan, set in his Raven's Shadow universe.
Vaelin Al Sorna is a living legend. It was his leadership that overthrew empires and his sacrifice that saved the Unified Realm from destruction. Now he lives a quiet life, his days of warfare behind him.
Yet whispers have spread across the sea of an army called the Steel Horde, led by a man who thinks himself a god. When Vaelin learns that Sherin, the woman he lost long ago, has fallen into the Horde's grasp, he resolves to confront this powerful new threat.
To this end, he travels to the realms of the Merchant Kings - a strange land ruled by honour and intrigue. And as the drums of war echo across kingdoms riven by conflict, Vaelin learns that there are some battles even he cannot hope to win.

It's really good
It's not just really good. It's really "really" good. As fast pace as a Gemmell book with as much action. I hope the next book is as good as the first book. I would be sad but still buy it.

I need more!!
I love of his works and this is no expectation. He mixes the expected with things to subvert those expectations in a masterful way.
It is a great story to return along with the return of some (possibly) favourite characters as well as the introduction of new ones
The descriptions are masterful and I can see it all in my mind. I just wish there was a TV show so I could see it take place and so I could experience all the stories in a new medium.
I wish I hadn't read this book now because now I have to wait till the next one.
