About this listen

Juliette Contzen is a lazy, good-for-nothing princess.

Overshadowed by her siblings, she's left with little to do but nap, read, and occasionally cut the falling raindrops with her sword. Spotted one day by an astonished adventurer, he insists on grading Juliette's swordsmanship, then promptly has a mental breakdown at the result.

Soon after, Juliette is given the news that her kingdom is on the brink of bankruptcy. At the threat of being married off, the lazy princess vows to do whatever it takes to maintain her current lifestyle. Taking matters into her own hands, she escapes in the middle of the night in order to restore her kingdom's finances.

This book was a joy to listen to, the MC's winsome attitude is surprisingly endearing and the performer captured her haughtiness perfectly. Relatively lighthearted plot that doesn't take itself too seriously. Already bought the second book before I even finished this one.

I was caught offguard, going into this series I expected something a little more mundane, the plot following an overpowered main character who swiftly dealt with everything with ease. What was delivered though was some of the funniest comedic moments and storytelling I've come across, there were moments that blindsided me and left me laughing with tears in my eyes. The narration of this series couldn't be better, I feel like they have a perfect understanding on the delivery needed to make each line pop and keeping the listener engrossed im every story beat.

An instant favourite.

Whoever thought that a sword could be used as multiple things like an umbrella a sword and an UMBRELLA!!!

This was humerous and ridiculous.... i loved every moment of this just hoping in the future it doesnt get a bit repetitive

this was great!

Very entertaining! I like the twists, banter and how the princess is completely out of her depth and yet is in complete control. I also like that she is a spoiled out of touch princess and yet you feel like deep down she has the potential to grow and be the beacon of hope and change for the kingdom.

The voice actress also does an awesome job! In my opinion she is much better than most of popular female narrators out there. :)

Funny, fun and light hearted adventure!

Personally I found the protagonist perspective to be very frustrating to read from, and I’m not sure if it was that or how high pitch the narrator was that was giving me the headache.

If I could get past the second hand embarrassment and not take the character too seriously I suspect I would find the series to be fun.

The narrator fits the characters perfectly and I love the few times we see the story from a different point of view.

Headache inducing
