About this listen

Officer Noel Carlson isn't out to anyone in small-town Stratton, Pennsylvania, so a relationship is out of the question. That doesn't stop him from wanting one, though.

When a night-shift call brings him face-to-thonged-butt with a hired stripper whose girl-party gig went terribly wrong, Noel takes pity on the guy and lets him go. But he can't get the encounter out of his mind.

Shane has big-time debts to repay, especially to the brother who sacrificed nearly everything for him. His two jobs, in a deli and as a stripper, leave him no time for a social life. But a non-date of hot sex and takeout food with Noel? He can squeeze that in.

The bond they form is stronger than either expected or wanted. Especially since the step Shane's about to take to put his brother - and his soul - back in the black isn't quite legal. And he never calculated just how much his determination to make things right will cost him in the end.

Contains mature themes.

Hard loving someone

Where to begin, Jodi, at first he sounds like a snobby little sht and didn't want to care for anyone's feelings but his own. And a brother in Jason is the best brother anyone could ask for. A brother's bond with another brother, siblings, friends or whomever is a bond that is strong as it was first bonded. Then Mr Noel, he was so patient and sometimes nieve with his feelings for Shane aka Jodi. As the story went on, it became clear why brother's were constantly involved with each other's lives. My heart was crying in the end when Jodi was crying which I was nearly sobbing. 😭

MY HEART BROKE FOR MY BOYS 💔

Good if you're after romance only storyline but felt the ending was unnecessary. I read this genre to feel happy at the end, not to need tissues. Also felt like some issues were left unresolved. Perhaps they are addressed in the sequel? But I won't read them now I know this author doesn't write 100% happily ever afters.

Why? Just why?

Well this is one performance which had me crying at the end. My poor boys, especially Jodi, for the absolute best brother anyone could ask for in Jason, a brothers bond is strong when it relies heavily on another to protect another brother or siblings or friend. Jodi was such a snobby not nice person, but as the story progressed it was clear why. I knew that Shane oh aka Jodi would come around and accept his lover, Noel. Noel was a special friend who had to bury alot to continue with his relationship with Jodi. But I wish it didn't make me cry toward the end, I was nearly sobbing 😭. Absolute joy to listen too.

My heart broke for these bros 💔🥀
