About this listen
An action-packed LitRPG Adventure perfect for fans of Mother of Learning, Primal Hunter, and The Perfect Run!
Fight. Grind. Grow strong enough to stop the Cataclysm.
Orodan was an orphaned street rat who clawed his way to the county militia with hard work. When calamitous events unfold and draw him into events bigger than himself, Orodan's battle-loving disposition leads to a warrior's death.
Then he wakes up again at the start of the Cataclysm. Then again. And again.
In a world of skills, titles, and blessings, a smart time-looper would perhaps scheme, plan, amass equipment, and allies. But not Orodan. If there's one thing he's good at, it's stubbornly trying the same thing over and over again via brute force till it's done.
If a wall is in front of him, going around is not an option. Instead, he'll batter it thousands of times until either the wall breaks or he does. And gain skill levels along the way.
Until, maybe one run, he'll grow powerful enough to stop the Cataclysm.
Experience this fast-paced LitRPG Adventure about Orodan and his progression toward becoming extremely overpowered using a time loop. The series features a detailed system, loads of skills, varied progression paths, deep worldbuilding, cultivation aspects, and a heroic character you can't help but root for!
©2025 Aethon Books (P)2025 Aethon AudioHowever if all the following books are similar, and the author knows when to end the books rather than make a forever series. It could be an astonishing story, one that could even be on par with Jake’s magical market!! Especially with its current narrator! Keep up the good work Mr author!!

The MC is stuck in a time loop but his skills and stats save from one restart to another, meaning he's constantly growing stronger. Unlike other time loop stories, the MC is a meathead who will pick fighting above any other option. It's a fun excuse for a violence-filled story where the hero grows from ordinary human to god-fighting monstrosity!
It reminded me a fair bit of Mother of Learning, or Cradle, in that way that small things grow and by the end of the book the character is just absolutely epic.
Unfortunately, the fact that this is a royal road story somewhat spoiled things for me. It's obvious that this was written over a large amount of time. Often the same information was repeated perhaps 1over the course of the book - something I think came from the fact that the original chapters were meant to be read many, many months apart. I can't count how many times I was told (literally 2-3 times per chapter at the start of the book) that the hero was a stubborn, bull-headed fighter who preferred to bang his head against a brick wall until it collapsed than walk around.
Additionally, the author used words like 'Unfathomable' and 'Monstrous' a lot. Like, a lot, lot.
This was a good story. I understand why people like it. But I won't be picking up book 2. YMMV.
Gets progressively more epic

• Overpowered MC (a personal preference)
• Great world building and character development, no dumb or shallow characters
• Combat, fighting, and action. Never gets old!
• A progressive story & character that start simple but develop over time, but never too complicated to require memorising everything
• Brilliant voice actor!! Many different characters with distinctive and vibrant voices, and always easy to tell who’s speaking. Definitely one of the better ones,
I would agree that this book is on par, albeit slightly shy of, the Primal Hunter. Maybe book 2 will change my mind, can’t wait for it!!
(Asaranth Healer is another great title similar to these, with a bit more realism)
Simple yet epic
