About this listen

No one likes a know-it-all, but everyone loves a girl with brains and heart. The Smart Girl's Guide to Polyamory is an intelligent and comprehensive guide to polyamory, open relationships, and other forms of alternative love, offering relationship advice radically different from anything you'll find on the magazine rack.

This practical guidebook will help women break free of the mold of traditional monogamy, without the constraints of jealousy, possessiveness, insecurity, and competition. The Smart Girl's Guide to Polyamory incorporates interviews and real-world advice from women of all ages in nontraditional relationships, as well as exercises for building self-awareness, confidence in communication, and strategies for managing and eliminating jealousy. If you're curious about exploring group sex, opening up your current monogamous relationship, or ready to "come out" as polyamorous, this book covers it all!

Whether you're a seasoned graduate, a timid freshman, or somewhere in between, you'll learn how to discover and craft unique relationships that are healthy, happy, sexy, and tailor-made for you. Because when it comes to your love life, being a know-it-all is actually a great thing to be.

Lately I've been reading a lot of titles on polyamory and this is the best of the bunch.
Smart, compassionate, interesting, inclusive and enjoyable as a read.
My only wish was that there was a PDF of the exercises with the audiobook.
Well done! Read it!

This is the best book on polyamory that I've read

This was an awesome book for anyone exploring ethical non-monogamy. Loved the exploration of history of relationships & the overall structure.

The one tiny thing that bothered me was when she put on voices of other people, particularly the voices of other ethnicities. Made me cringe & just felt a bit wrong.

Loved this book bar one tiny thing

The information here is far more expansive and flexible than that in More Than Two, with great practical tips for some tricky hypothetical conundrums. Great feminist perspective, with an understanding of intersectionality and LGBTQ+ identities.
Very good for newbies, but with some things even veterans might not have considered.
That voice though. So self-congratulatory it was almost smarmy in its tone, every line was delivered like a teenage empowerment guide. I almost gave up on listening because of this, but I am glad I persisted

Solid advice (try to ignore the voice)

Amazingly well researched and articulate book describing polyamory and non-monogamy in all their forms. This book would even be helpful for monogamous folk to read, as there is so much human wisdom infused into it by Dedeker Winston's personality and life experiences.

Comprehensive and in-depth
