About this listen
Upon returning to Valia after his journey to Caelford and the Unclaimed Lands, Corin Cadence is confronted with a familiar foe—his own father.
While his strength has vastly increased since his last encounter with Magnus Cadence, Corin knows that he’ll need every trick at his disposal—and maybe a few new ones—if he wants to survive a duel with his father intact.
While Corin struggles with his family, his friends must face a second year at Lorian Heights with new classes, familiar but new chancellor, and deadly new enemies both on and off the campus. But school itself is the least of their worries. As the year progresses, the nation of Valia faces new travails at the emergence of a mysterious faction targeting attuned commoners and foreigners.
Casualties mount as Corin’s allies seek to unmask the leadership of this deadly order—and discover a threat that they cannot hope to face and emerge unscathed.
The Silence of Unworthy Gods is the fourth book in the Arcane Ascension series, a progression fantasy epic that mixes dungeon crawling and magical school content. This book also references events from the Weapons & Wielders series up to Book three, a connected series that takes place several years earlier with some overlapping cast members.

Wow.
If you're at book 4 then you're likely already going to read it but it did not disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised at how much of the wider world story was fit in considering the early pacing but it was well executed and kept me binging. I am both gutted and excited for the next one fingers crossed it comes soon.

Brilliant story and joined the plots very well
Loved it, the story was excellent, and the previous plots were joint. Would have liked some more background / content to Rin Jaden, but it was excellent nonetheless.
Hopefully, the next book will arrive soon, as I suspect it will be the last in this series.
The narrator's performance was superb.

My favourite since the first.
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. The characters felt like they were making solid progress towards growing more. plot lines were given satisfying endpoints/transitions to further conflict.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series/universe

Absolutely incredible and unexpected direction for this amazing story!
I absolutely loved and was truly surprised at the direction this story went. It was written so well and introduced characters I puked love to hear more about, and built on existing characters nicely. The narration was superb, each character truly has their own voice. I would highly recommend this book & series to anyone, and will be relistening to this again and again!

Andrew Rowe had me the whole book
From the start Andrew Rowe acknowledged things I had badly wanted answered from previous books and then he managed to sweep me off my feet with his world of magic
10/10 I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys fantasy books

I need more!
This book finishes with so many questions raised I feel like I'm hanging off of the end of a littoral cliff!
Please release more asap! I'm dying slowly from anticipation! ( I actually feel heart broken for the characters too! 😭🤧 )

Next book now please
Not quite a cliff hanger..
So much yet to do.
the start of the book with a duel planned, culminated towards the end, woth, in my mind, not quite enough reference to duel prep as the rest of the story evolved..
the rest of the story evolved well, and at pave.
Emotions run high throughout, heart ache and unrequited llove. not ina bad way. the kind of heart ache that only exists because of love.
loyalty, family, and acceptance, understanding beyond first impressions and learned biases.
Recognising happiness of others, letting folks determine for themseles what is and isn't right for them, and a look at the art of thoughtful gift giving.
Andrew Rowe writes fast moving scenes, that still take time to explore the depths of characters in unique ways..
The murder serpent skipping across the battle grounds is an example..
Nick Podehl is the best voice for fantasy adventure of all kinds.
keep em coming fast !
Thank you!
