Mehhh. Not impressed with this one.

I persevered purely to maintain the continuity of the story. The next will decide if I can be bothered with the rest. Very nearly lost me with the Dwarven 'election' which I thought completely ridiculous. The rest wasn't as bad as the last book, not quite as much bitching and backstabbing to drag everything down, and good to see that the MC seems to have remembered how to use a bow in this one. I don't think we've seen him use his familiar since the first time he summoned it though. He seems to forget he has magic half the time. Anyway. Not completely awful, but it was touch and go for a while there.
