Finally I chose a decent book here on audible.... The narration was ok, didn't distract too much... Great story, loved getting the POV from the different characters. Looking forward to the authors next book.

Loved it from start to finish

Extremely talented writer, and I will no doubt read another of her novels. I just feel like so much was left untold. No spoilers, but I needed way more story on the MAN. So much poured into Emily, an almost unbearable character I feared was going to be just as sinister but instead is just desperately trying to be happy. But…. Then it ends. No why, no justice, no delicious male voice at the end explaining his foul deeds. Few wasted opportunities. And it just saddens me that these events actually do happen. That’s what’s scary.

There is plenty to appreciate about this book but ultimately it’s an unconvincing read. The adult themes are delivered in a PG rating making it a big cop out. The conclusion was perfunctory.

This book was great. The premise was great as was the general story but I am afraid Emily’s character changed this rating from a 5 to a 3. She is hands down the most irritating character from a book I can remember. The most vacuous, pathetic, whiny, irritating person ever.

The writer is obviously very talented. Particularly since her mother tongue is French. To think how talented you must be to write a seamless page-turner in your second language. I mean wow. I will definitely look for more of this Author’s books. Despite Emily!

Fantastic book- dragged out a bit but strangely I liked this as I didn’t want it to end! Excellent audio book- easy to follow while doing household chores!

After two dud previous reads, this book came to my rescue. It kept me engaged until the end. Really liked the different perspectives and voices. I did want more from the story, maybe from "his" perspective. I hope this is picked up for production, it'd make an awesome series!
