Don't miss the explosive finale of the Dark Water series where the truth that lurks in the Quarterlands has the power to tear their lives apart.
Dark Water. Deadly Secrets. Dangerous Love.
London, 2095. Sixty years after rising seas drowned the old world, a corrupt system of servitude keeps the new one afloat.
Josiah believed he'd escaped the Quarterlands forever. But his pursuit of justice drives him back to the one place he swore he'd never return—home.
Meanwhile, Alex surrenders to his captor's desires, playing a dangerous game of deception. But as the charade corrodes his sanity, their relationship twists into something monstrous.
When Josiah's relentless investigation finally uncovers Alex's most deeply buried secret, it threatens to destroy everything between them.
In this searing finale, the past demands its reckoning. Can there be any future for these two shattered men, or will the truth destroy them both?
©2025 Xanthe Walter (P)2025 Xanthe WalterThis story of Josiah and Alex will stay with me in a way very few books ever have or ever will. It felt less like reading and more like living every moment alongside them — the fear, the trauma, the resilience, the fragile hope, and the deep, hard-won love. There were moments I felt so overcome I had to stop because I couldn’t bear the pain and suffering. The story was at times so acutely overwhelming that I would wake up at night thinking of Josiah and especially Alex and wondering when their hell would ever end.
The Dark Water series is an epic masterpiece, deeply and gruellingly painful, intermingled with hauntingly beautiful moments. The characters aren’t just fictional — they feel so real, raw, and unforgettable. Their journey, along with their friends and people around them, left a lasting imprint on me that I know won’t fade anytime soon.
Thank you for writing something so powerful, so human, and so deeply affecting. I’ll be thinking about Josiah and Alex for a very long time. The narration by Matt Addis is exceptional.
An Epic Masterpiece Series
