Every man (and woman) needs to read this

Even if you read Manhood back when it was released, you should read this version as it has been updated significantly and is a book that should be read again and again to help men become the best possible man that they can be.

Great book should be on the must read for everyone

I absolutely loved this book.
I have shared it a number of times.
It makes you realise that it’s not an uncommon situationist you are in.

I have purchased several hard copies and given it to friends.

It makes you cry as you begin to relive your emotions and knowing that you can move forward.
Do yourself a great service and listen to the book.

An amazing resource for women who love their man to understand them

A much needed understanding of rite of passage for all men. Often found in ancient culture but presented clearly for an Australian 200 year rule of UK. who struggle without some form of guidance in this new world we find ourselves in 2020. We must have this conversation to find a way to heal victims too victorious. Holistic ideas to heal the hurt and pain suffered by history beyond our control. Thank you Steve Biddulph for your decades of research and wisdom. We cannot do anything about the past but we can create a way forward for the future for Our Dads Sons and their Sons.

What a book!

I followed up Raising a Boy with Manhood ….so pleased I have taken the time to read/listen to them. So much context, insight and practical examples for me as a mother of a young boy and wife.
Have now opted for another book suggested within Manhood.

I encourage you to read this book.

This beautiful (and well narrated) book is what it claims to be: a signpost. A signpost to point the way towards men becoming more of who we were created to be. Thank you, Steve.

Many words of wisdom, but sometimes fanciful

There is much to be said about the value of promoting a vision of manhood that is strong, emotionally vulnerable, selfless and self-reflective. However, in my opinion, the author's words sometimes lose grounding in the real world by describing vague concepts of spirituality that one might find difficult to apply practically. I certainly did. I believe that doing so undercuts the more applicable (and evidence-based) concepts of the text by undermining the overall suitability of the author to comment on the issues of manhood. Despite this opinion, I do appreciate (and intend to act on) the suggestions of this book on regards to being an effective and loving husband, son and father.

I would recommend reading this book, but I would also suggest being mindful of being swept up in the pleasant-sounding ideas that the author has on spirituality and being 'aligned with the universe'. These do nothing but to distract from the practical messages of the book.
