About this listen
A small town, second chance romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry.
Life on his ranch could be their future. If they can overcome their past.
Felicity’s life story reads like the script to a bad soap opera. Girl’s high-school boyfriend becomes a drug addict. Girl falls for boyfriend’s best friend. Girl leaves them both, behind only to return home years later for murdered ex-boyfriend’s funeral. Now, she’s back home in Montana, ready to start fresh. She’s got a long list of amends to make and relationships to rebuild, including one with the man who has owned her heart for sixteen years.
Silas doesn’t need much. He’s got a great horse, close friends, and the Lucky Heart ranch, but something has always been missing. He’s not an idiot. He knows the missing piece is Felicity. And now that she’s returned to Prescott, he’s got a second chance to win her heart. This time, the only thing standing in his way is history. Drudging up the past is going to be about as painful as playing tug of war with barbed wire. But if they can heal old wounds, he’ll get the girl he should have had all along.
©2017 Devney Perry (P)2024 Devney PerryThe first two had extremely questionable MMC’s. They were coercive and controlling and manipulative. So bad that I really had to push myself to finish the books.
This book was incredibly sweet. So heartbreaking to know that they’ve lost so many years because Wes lied to Felicity. She blamed herself with his death and his drug addiction when it was all him and he’d been doing drugs far before she asked him to try with her.
Silas and Felicity story is one of heartbreak but also extremely sweet and true love moments with just a lot of years wasted.
Felicity is on a red redemption Ark, because she came to know and love herself and could identify her itchiness as a coping mechanism for the trauma she’s been through. I hated her in the first book, but she more than redeemed herself in my eyes.
Felicity shows that she is a caring, empathetic, easy to talk to individuals that people love and trust.
Silas has always loved her, always looked after her, and always done the best for her. A true cowboy and loveable MMC…to see him get his happily ever after was just fantastic.
By far the best book of the series.
