About this listen

A small town, forced proximity romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry.

Trapped in his tiny mountain cabin, she didn't expect to fall for his big heart.

Exposing a prominent criminal family with an investigative news report didn’t exactly work out the way Sabrina had hoped. Instead of basking in the glory of her article’s success, she’s on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she’s forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she’s secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn’t the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her.

Beau likes his life quiet and simple. Give him a peaceful day hiking in the woods with his dog, and he’s a happy man. He has no use for large crowds, noisy cities, or dramatic women. So when a hotshot reporter rolls into town, dragging her big-time problems with her, he should have run for the hills. Instead, he volunteered to keep her safe. Bringing her into his world won’t be easy, but if he can convince her that Montana isn’t as terrifying as she believes, they might just be the perfect match.

I loved this book from start to finish. The connection felt real and not relying on spice. Beau and Sabrina's characters were written so beautifully and the narrators captured them perfectly. I highly recommend this book.

The greatest love!

I love this book with every fibre of my being. Nothing I say will ever fully express the way this story has captured my heart ❤️

Beau and Sabrina’s story has utterly ruined me for all others.

Their story, their relationship, slowly built over time, but there was never a single doubt that they were ever destined to be anything else but soulmates.

Beau — mortal perfection. His protective nature lures me, and I’ve been obsessed with him from the start.

The emotional connection I have for not only this story, but for Beau and Sabrina, is endless. I love them so much that I could never forget them.

The way their friendship grew, then flourished into a love so deep, so real, so meaningful — oh my heart.

Me just here crying because I’m just so touched by their story.

Beau is the perfect man. Protective. Kindhearted. Loving. Really, he’s my dream man, and I’ll forever be comparing every man to him. He complete love and devotion to Sabrina absolutely ruins me in the best way. The sacrifice he’s willing to make. Oh Beau ❤️

Sabrina’s dedication to her journalism is inspiring. Her selfless and moral nature knows no bounds.

Devney, The Outpost — phenomenal. Beau? Perfection. Sabrina? Admirable. Together, they’re my favourite.

Ava Erikson and Aiden Snow were the perfect choices for Sabrina and Beau. Their performance was incredible and absolutely captured the essence of Sabrina and Beau. Listening to them made this story even more real and even more heartbreaking. One of the best audiobooks I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
