Possible zombie sightings aside, he's finally ready to take his job as Duke seriously. Loved it
I loved it and I wish there were more books with overpowered main characters like this one! It's a story I enjoyed and hope that Virlyce will publish more of. Some people complain about how it's written or how the names are generic for those people I say, go buy other books and enjoy to your heart's content. There are too few books where the main character is a Bad A** and I support this author and will keep buying his books as long as he makes them and keeps the same style going.
Thanks for reading!

Backtracks from the first book.
This book does have its funny moments, and I can accept how over powered the main character is, but the biggest problem is the fact that it backtracks of the character development of the first book. Ver starts out as a bratty child but developed compassion about hurting people unnecessarily. He was still dense and blunt, but he was less of a bully, and in this book he is even worse, including allowing serious harm to come to others, presented as humor for the reader but shows serious callousness for him. But Toffle is worse, she is presented in the first book as a kind and morally good person but here she is either dismissive of the bad that happens to others or just makes a token complaint and then forgets about it. They are both presented as not being morally good and at best morally ambiguous.

Too OP and annoying 2 me.
I thought the first book was ok but I was hoping something more would develop. Had some good humor but wasn't funny enough over time for me. The MC running around saying mine, mine, and mine is only entertaining so long. More so when it's clear there are no stakes and don't seem like there ever will be in the series. This is the last for me.

The miscellaneous adventures of Ver and Toffel
The sequel to "the blue mage raised by dragons" is a well written BOOK but it felt like it was missing a major story. I felt that this book was too heavily focused on character development and as if the story was written with a to do list.
arrive at new continent. get lost. hire a guide. join a tournament. get separated. ect ect.
comedy and character development was the strongest part of this book, we saw new desires from old characters and new faces that brought more depth to the story. With that said, I do believe that Virlyce has a talent for creating worlds and characters that are easy to envision and understand.
if I were to change the story... I would make the dwarves a far more menacing group/the main antagonists. The book focuses heavily on treating the dwarves as if they're a strong and intelligent group. At time it's stated that the dwarves are strong enough to fight against a dragon. Yet whenever the main characters come into contact with ANY dwarves, they're beaten without a sweat and simply accept defeat when they could be treated like a threat.
overall I did enjoy this book and would still recommend it to those that enjoy comedy and fantasy based books.

I cant describe how much I loved this book
I am a sucker for dragons. And I've been wanting something thing light hearted and funny for a while.
It's like watching a child do whatever he wants whenever he wants with the power that never seems to reach a limit. with out the possibility of any consequences.
This book is filled with so many unique character interactions and I'm gonna miss listening to it.
This series has immediately became my favorite series. Hands down.
Thank you for writing this book. That's all I can say.
