This is not the last book in the series!! This is however a new romance with the same war and settings. This is the forbidden romance between Zarrah and Kerris and their amazing story about both how they met, but also, how they overcame their upbringings to trust each other. Like I said before, this is not the last book in the series and does end on a cliffhanger which definitely leaves you wanting to read the next book as soon as possible… but you can’t!! I am so annoyed that the next book is not out yet to continue seamlessly with the story of Zarrah and Kerris. I do look forward to it though. Again, if you have gotten this far into the series, I would definitely recommend this book. I hope you find you love it just as much as the others. Enjoy!

This is book 3 of the Bridge kingdom series and as we have come to expect danielle jensen has done it again! This one follows Keris (Lara’s brother) and General Zarrah.
Keris and Zarrah are both amazing characters. One wants to be a scholar and one was to be war hero. On opposites sides of a never-ending war. A chance encounter that changes their lives. Both are left questioning what they have always been taught to believe.

The Inadequate Heir expanded the world so much and gave some great descriptions of these new places. The plot has such a good pace throughout. This book definitely turns up the spice compared to book 1 + 2 🔥 Such a great enemies to lovers story!

After getting Aren and Lara perspective of events in The Traitor Queen and getting small glimpses of Keris and Zarrah, it was fun seeing how some of their plot unfolded.

Aren and Lara are still my fav couple from this series but this was so good! I’m reading the novella ASAP! Another phenomenal fantasy novel from Jensen. Book 4 cannot come any quicker!

Can’t wait for the fourth book! The male actors voice was a bit annoying and squeaky when he pretended to be Zarrah, but I’m glad I was able to listen to this 6 months before it comes out in print :)
