A fantastic sequel!
This book was a pleasant surprise!
Dig deeper into the myth and lore of the Emberverse as you continue to follow the story of Roland and his fellow armor.
New characters and old, plenty of page turning action as well as a surprising amount of touching depth into the supporting cast. Sprinkled with plenty of Fox's humanity, charm, and humor as well.
I'm a fan.

The story is so short compared to the original series. The people and relationships are also weak. Characters were not as fully developed and memorable. I had to rewind several time just to remember who’s who.

meh
quick review.
it's short.
narration was fine same as all the other books.
story had some good parts and some really bad parts. really don't like how the author had the main character joining a military Cult, straight up cringy.
overall meh, I'd read another sequel but honestly I'm probably going to forget about the series before the next book comes out.

A good yarn, delivered
The first two books could have been combined into one. Still a fun wee read though. As like the ember war none of the individual books are that great but as a whole they do produce a decent story. Works well as a filer series between books you really enjoy.
