About this listen

THERE'S NO PLANET LIKE HOME

After an 'incident' one wet Friday night where he was found walking naked through the streets of Cambridge, Professor Andrew Martin is not feeling quite himself. Food sickens him. Clothes confound him. Even his loving wife and teenage son are repulsive to him. He feels lost amongst an alien species and hates everyone on the planet. Everyone, that is, except Newton, (and he's a dog).

Who is he really? And what could make someone change their mind about the human race?©2020 Matt Haig (P)2020 Canongate Books Ltd

I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read, but also had enough substance to really make you think about what it is to be human. It had plenty of laugh out loud moments. I recommend it.

Great book.

Matt Haig because of his problems has a wonderful insight into the human condition.
The Midnight Library was my first Matt Haig book - I loved it but I was surprised by how many people recommended this book to me. I thought I was the only one who had discovered Matt Haig! I have loved every book since - he is so authentic and, due to his life experiences his writing has made me want to share everything I have learned from him about the human condition. Amazing.

Loved the insight into humanity regardless of the faults in our species

I loved the Midnight Library and was not disappointed here. A bit of fantasy and a lot of home truths to ponder plus some humour directed at the human race in general.

This is the sort of Sci-Fi I can enjoy
