a bit cheesy, especially the dialogue between Branson and Grace. i also feel it shouldn't be Grace on the building etc always tackling the villains physically. As a superintendent he should be in charge more rather than hands on. he comes across as a Batman character solving crime without any thought for his physical safety.

Love the whole story very interesting twists. The narration was brilliant especially King Charles. The pacing was excellent and kept you guessing the whole time.

This would have to be my least favourite Roy Grace book. I'm a HUGE fan of this series but this was obviously written by a real royalist and his almost drooling over the royal family was sickening.

The story was weak and the outcome predictable right from the start, more a lovers diary of the royal family than a true crime novel.

Hopefully the next in the series will be back to his usual strong work.
