Publisher's Summary

Save an imprisoned demigod, kill an archdevil on her home turf, and somehow reclaim his soul. Simple, right?

Captured by the archdevil Sekka, Kasai must defeat her archnemesis, the devil Zizphander, and his legion of fire fiends at her gate in the hopes she will honor her promise and let his companions live. Meanwhile back in the Mortal Realm, the fate of the Three Kingdoms is at stake, and without the power of the Ever Hero, all seems lost.

Kasai must finally accept his role as Aetenos’s next Ever Hero and save the land he loves from the diabolical Frost Legion, rampaging across the continent. But to do this, he must rely on the help from his closest companions, a witch with an identity crisis, who is torn between using her powers for good or evil, and a sentient three-sectioned staff, which may seek to possess him before his work is done.

But what does any of that matter while the devil, Sekka, holds his soul in her frosty grip?

Kasai must connect to the ethereal Boundless to tap into the powers of the Ever Hero, but without a mentor or master to guide him, his odds for success seem remote. Nonetheless, he must find the courage to crush the darkness. Afterall, he is the Chosen One, whether he wants the title or not.

This epic fantasy series will be especially enjoyed by fans of Brandon Sanderson, Robert Jordan, Michael J. Sullivan, Edward W. Robertson, Patrick Rothfuss, and Michael Wisehart.

Interview with the author

Q. – So, what makes the Ever Hero Saga series so special?

A.- It’s a mix of things, really. When I set out to write these books, I wanted to create something that mirrored exactly the kind of books I like to read. My top picks are usually epic-fantasy and dark-fantasy novels, any of the thousands of sword and sorcery, or metaphysical journey best sellers, and, of course, books featuring your classic heroes. Basically, anything with a kick-butt, action-adventure attitude, and fast-paced style gets my vote.

The Ever Hero Saga books are a great mix of these genres. You’ll find the series focused on the magic genre overall, with lots of wizards, witches, djinns, and mystics, but there is also a fair dose of angels, devils, demons, knights, kings, and thieves. The main hero is a mystic monk with special martial arts skills, and it’s really his coming-of-age journey that is important in the first three books in the series.

The Ever Hero Saga is designed to keep you engaged—and I’ve made sure there is never a dull moment.

Q. – What order should I listen to the books in?

A. – The first three books go in a particular order as the main characters are established and travel along their journey arc. After that, a new arc is created for the ones that live and we go from there.

Q. – So, why should listeners give these books a try?

A. – Because the Ever Hero Saga is a fast, fun adventure that takes no prisoners! Listeners who enjoy lightning-fast pacing with a plot that twists and turns all the way to the end will get a kick out of this series.
